  I’ve been a resident at Castellino since 2025 and there’s not a day that goes by where I find myself grateful for being here. A special thanks to our General Manager Sabrina, our Office Manager Olivia, our Maintenance Anthony, and yes Maddie when she comes by. If anyone is looking for a great community to live at, then I highly recommend staying at Castellino Apartments in Laguna West.

  I wish I could provide less than one star. Horrible time moving in and out. Management is entirely incompetent. They are trying to take my entire deposit for an apartment I lived in 1 year and left in perfect condition. I’m having to contact the housing authority and a lawyer to get my deposit back. Please do not move here! You will regret it!

  Pros: great family friendly location, quiet, and near many parks good pool and well maintained outdoor areas in the complex (minus the perpetually malfunctioning gates) Cons: strange, and outdated floor plans finicky appliances unprofessional, unhelpful management pests other tenants not picking up after their pets leaky ceiling AC vents price doesn't = quality of the apartment renewal rent rates are astronomically high Details: Literally the worst management ever. They rarely answer calls, if they do, they won't give a straight answer. In person on the day we moved in (one week after the move in day we were told originally forcing us to stay in a hotel), the manager was clearly intoxicated and very rude. Upon moving out the new management was equally incompetent, calling me to ask me to come turn in keys and sign documents for the move out, not even 3 hours after I signed the same documents and turned in my keys. 31 days before our lease was up we received our renewal offer, in which they informed us that should we stay rent would be increased by over $400. Fortunately we found a larger, cheaper, and much nicer two bedroom than the one bedroom in another part of town. The apartment itself was a strange floor plan. The carpet was gross, and the AC vent leaked. Pests were a constant problem and management was slow to dispatch pest control to alleviate the problem.

  Beautiful area nice and quiet but poor management like everyone says. Applied to this area but took too long and especially for a first come and a room ready to go. Could not contact the office and apparently my application was lost or could not be found. It goes to show how unorganized this place is. Will be looking some place else and glad I canceled my application. Good luck to whoever else looking into this apartment.
