I’ve lived at Green Back Ridge Apartments for two years now, and it has truly been a wonderful place to call home. There’s a great sense of community here, and the people are friendly and welcoming.
Management has always been extremely responsive to any questions or concerns I’ve had, whether urgent or not. That kind of reliability really makes a difference. The property is also very pet-friendly, complete with doggie bag stations, which I really appreciate. My kids love being able to walk our dogs safely around the property.
The staff — Bert and Ashlyn — are a huge reason why this community stands out. They are friendly, professional, and genuinely care about the residents, which is a big selling point.
As for the apartment itself, it’s very spacious, and I love that each unit includes a wood-burning fireplace — such a cozy and unique feature. If you’re looking for an affordable, safe place to live in Citrus Heights with management you can truly trust, this is the place to call home.

Ashland was professional in tone, though not particularly receptive to concerns that have been ongoing for several years. I was informed that regular maintenance occurs, even though the same issue happens after every storm.
She did a good job remaining firm in her position and redirecting responsibility, so if you value consistency over solutions, this office seems well-staffed.

I've lived at property for about a year now and won't be renewing my lease. During the time in which i've lived here, a family of seven in a two bedroom apartment was moved in over our heads. We can hardly get any rest, or have peace of mind in our home and every time we address the issue, nothing is resolved. This property is severely understaffed. Whenever the office is actually open, there is one property manager and one maintenance man for the whole complex. There is hardly ever concern given or efforts made to fix resident issues such as loud neighbors or violent acts between residents. The property manager ignores emails that she has received regarding resident issues. The parking is horrific and the rules are never followed at this property. The influx of unhoused and children that roam the property is insane and the lack of professionalism from security is just the start for greenback ridge. I wouldn't recommend that anyone lives here, with the price of rent at this property, you can find something MUCH better. As I am typing this it is 12/26/25 5:31 pm, we are currently dealing with water coming into our bedroom from outside. So no greenback ridge you have done nothing to help resolve my issues. You stated you detected no mildew, yet put a mildew machine in my room for excessive moisture. There is still a hole in my window seal and we were told from the property manager Ashlyn that "they are doing the best they can" This is horrific living.
I moved in back when was brand new I loved
living there especially the washer & dryer unfortunately I had an upstairs neighbor that decided to start a party @ 2am I got dressed walked over to the managers apartment woke them up they were not happy with my
neighbor she was evicted the apartment was only a few months old it looked like they were there 3 years it was a total mess.
It was a lot quieter after she left now I could
sleep all night no interruptions.
