I have had the experience of living at Glenbrook Apartments for over 2 years. The complex recently under went an exterior remodel, which has been a major cosmetic improvement. Overall, the experience has been great!
I spent one year living in a downstairs two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. It was spacious, neat, and very nice. New carpet, new windows, fresh paint and even new counter tops at the beginning of my lease. The second year, I moved into an upstairs one bedroom apartment across the complex. The one bedroom was nice, but not as new and I saw bugs more often.
Maintainence is super on top of things. Management is friendly and takes care of business. The resident manager plans various events for tenants throughout the year such as summer BBQ's, yard sales, and holiday wrapping parties near Christmas. These events are free, usually include food, and are a great way for people to meet neighbors living in the same community.
I did experience a smash and grab on my car once when it had been sitting in the same spot for over 2 weeks next to the street and neighboring complex. In the 2 years of living there, I only knew of one other person experiencing a theft on their vehicle, which had been an exgirlfriend. So, I figured it was random.
I had some nights were I slept in my car in the parking lot. I never worried about my safety.
The laundry room is very nice, and open 24 hours. The pool is great, hot tub too. The onsite gym is small and does not have a dumbell set, but it is really private. I have never had to share it. I have gone regularly at different times of the day and not run into other people very often. The tennis and basketball courts are usually available, if you have children, they're a great fenced in location to let small kids run around freely.
If you are thinking about renting at Glenbrook Apartments I would definitely suggest it. The rent is just as high as any where else and the location rocks! Walkable distance to the mall, Winco, several restaurants, other stores, public transportation, and the bike trail that runs through town. It is also not far from the park.
Finally, one of the coolest things is that during the 4th of July residents can watch the Silver Dollar Fairground firework show from the tennis court or pool lawn.
Really great place to call home, definitely worth considering.
