MAKE SURE YOU READ EVERYTHING SO YOU CAN SAVE YOURSELF FROM AN ENDLESS NIGHTMARE WITH THIS APARTMENT. THEY DON’T EVEN DESERVE A ⭐️.
Utility Billing:
You don’t pay for what you use — you pay for what everyone else uses. Water and trash alone will run you over $200 every month. And don’t forget, you also pay for electricity and gas on your own. Your total bill will easily end up between $400–$500 a month.
Parking:
If someone parks in your assigned spot, you have zero access to management for help. You can call, email, whatever — nobody answers and nobody responds.
Communication:
The only time they reach out is when a payment is late. That’s the only thing they care about.
Extra Charges:
They’ll charge you for basic apartment maintenance as if it’s extra. They also have a history of billing tenants for things that were never their fault. For example, sewage flooded my bedroom and bathroom for days, and they still tried to make me pay for their own mess — including the cleaning.
Noise Issues:
The windows and doors are not soundproof, so expect constant noise from cars and the street.
Inconsistent Management:
They rotate or fire apartment managers so often that service requests get delayed, lost, or ignored entirely.
Security Deposit:
Don’t expect to get your deposit back, even if you leave the apartment in perfect condition. They will still try to charge you for their own maintenance issues and damages they were responsible for.
FINAL ADVICE:
DON’T RENT HERE. If you work hard for an honest living, protect your money and your peace — this place will drain both.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with The Veranda Apartments has been extremely frustrating. We applied for an apartment and were denied, which was fine — but we were told by Carrie that our holding deposit would be refunded within five business days by check. It has now been over a month, and despite sending multiple emails to follow up, we have received no response and no refund.
I have receipts and proof of the emails I’ve sent over the past month showing I have been diligently trying to get a response from management. The lack of communication and professionalism here is unacceptable. A holding deposit should be returned promptly when an application is denied — not ignored for weeks on end.

We scheduled a tour for a three-bedroom apartment, clearly stating in advance that we were only interested in a 3-bedroom. We were invited for an appointment and the time was confirmed. However, when we arrived, the leasing office staff ignored us, even though we could clearly see them inside. No one opened the door, and by the time our appointment started, we saw that the staff were just enjoying their lunch.
In the end, we were told that there were no apartments available to view, and we had come for nothing. This was by far the worst and most disrespectful experience we’ve ever had trying to tour an apartment.
Zunday is the best!!! I highly recommend her. She is very professional and takes care of her tenants. She is always a tremendous help and is sweet.

I have lived here a month, and my experience has been almost entirely positive. I do agree with other comments that the "rec room" has hit or miss coffee (often understocked), and is very substandard compared to other places we have looked at. I also find the fact that the pool is unheated a big negative (I am handicapped and I need heat in order to use it) -- this is not up to par for the area, either. The lobby and rec room furnishings are not at all attractive or modern. We moved in a month ago and the manager, Greg Harris, whom we had really liked and who seemed very good at his job, was no longer here the next day, which meant that not only did some maintenance issues fall through the cracks, but we never received the $500 gift card we were promised as a move in special. The new manager, Jennifer, seems great -- very organized, helpful and friendly. She does not work a crazy amount of hours (more power to her), so you will undoubtedly need to make an appointment to view any vacant apartments (they do not have models to show here). Greg was here for about five months, and I hope that Jennifer lasts a lot longer. Many tenants that I have talked to have listed lack of a consistent manager as a big negative here. I love the landscaping and fountains. The outdoor furniture is really nice. I love the size of the verandas here (hence the name). The neighbors have all been really friendly. The noise from Roscoe and next door neighbor Vallarta is loud. There is a police station behind the building. I have yet to see any officers called out to our complex, but it makes me feel safer that they are close. The exercise room is good, but I wish it had an exercise bike, or at least an elliptical. These are large apartments, and I am really happy with mine. The floors are brown ceramic tile with beige carpet in the bedrooms and lofts and on the stairs. The cabinets are all dark, but there are many, especially in the kitchen. The ceilings are very high. I am missing a linen closet and a coat closet (we have a large Harry Potter cabinet under the stairs, though). All in all, I like living here very much, but it is not for everyone. I think that the owner would make the complex much more competitive with others in the area (such as Sofi) by upgrading the common areas, having a larger maintenance staff (although Sergio does a good job), and especially doing a much better job of retaining managers. We have been impressed with both former and current managers, but it was very disconcerting to have the former guy disappear on our first day. It made us wonder what was wrong with the place rather than feeling great about moving in.
