  Angela in the office is the best! She is very understanding, personable, and on top of things. She has helped me so many times and truly looks out for everyone in the community. I never hesitate to stop by the office and talk to her.

  The grounds are beautiful and well-kept — definitely a highlight. The maintenance team is fantastic: quick, professional, and genuinely caring. When the parking lot was repaved, it was done in just a few days during normal business hours — super considerate! The apartments are older, and it shows in the lighting and walls, but they’re spacious for the price, which helps balance it out. The property ownership feels very corporate — leases, utilities, and fees are standard and non-negotiable, which makes it hard to understand or reduce costs. The on-site manager means well but could really use more support. Office hours and communication aren’t always consistent. A previous manager once helped me sublet and avoid extra fees — I wish that level of tenant care was still here.

  This place scheduled multiple "Annual Inspections" to occur within weeks of eachother. Management does not know what annual is. This was invasive and was never written in emails like thr actual "annual inspection" notice normally is, these were all hand written notices left on our door. Our apartment had black mold and it was effecting my wifes skin. They said they tested and couldnt find anything, but you could see the mold coming through thr paint that they just layer on everytime a tenant moves out. Moving out, they dont list that they require you to hire proffessional cleaners. They only tell you that they need proffessional cleaners after yoyr walkthrough inspecrion. On the final walkthrough inspection, there isnt even a spot where you would get your full refund back, knowing they're going to be taking your deposit to supposedly clean the apartment. When we moved in we rented a shampoo vacuum for the carpet and we extracted super black/dirty water from the carpet. Their yard workers blow all the debris everyweek onto all of the cars. Ive been outside before when they are leafblowing and you can hear tiny rocks and hard fragments hitting all the cars. Would not recommend living here.

  Sterling Heights is really the peaceful sanctuary you're looking for when you're looking for your next home. Surrounded by beautiful landscaping and only about a mile from the waterfront, I couldn't ask for a better community to live in. Angela is on top of her stuff, and Jose is always there to make sure your home feels like a home. We stay here because of the Sterling team, and we couldn't be happier!

  i’ve been living here for about two years and i honestly love it. it’s always so clean and well kept, and you can tell the staff genuinely care about us. in particular the service manager jose velasco is always so professional and polite. i know that if something comes up and needs fixing he’ll be on it right away. angela in the office is amazing too. i’m so glad she came on board about a year and a half ago because she’s been so welcoming and nice to me and my family ever since.
