Angela Woodson and Gennesys Mandapat are most certainly beyond wonderful. My family and I first time on the property they greeted us with a warm welcome!! Gennesys gave us a fabulous tour and my children were beyond excited to be able to see all the fantastic amenities that’s included in this beautifully made property!! Another one of my favorite parts were Angela going up and beyond for my family!! She completely took her time out to complete the paperwork needed and just gave me so much hope with this housing search!! They both made this entire process a breeze I cannot thank you lovely ladies enough!! I’m beyond grateful for everything you both did for myself and my family!! Keep up the great work ladies God bless you both!!! ♥️♥️
I’ve lived at these apartments since 2016 and through out the years management has changed. The 3 people who work there now are phenomenal! Angela, Genesis, and Jose are super nice and friendly. They are on it and make sure their residents are well taken care of. They all take their time to get to know everyone which I feel is very important. They are quick to help and have your best interest in heart:)
My elderly (75 years old) mother was a tenant at the Sterling Heights apartment homes in Benicia, CA from September of 2024 to November of 2025 (roughly a 15-month tenancy). Well, I can’t say enough great and enthusiastic things about the manager, Ms. Angela Woodson, and maintenance team, led by Mr. Jose, at this apartment complex! From day one, Angela was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making this a great place for my Mom to live. Communication was always prompt and clear, and any concerns were handled quickly and thoughtfully. My Mom only moved because there was more family and friends to assist her with day-to-day things in another Bay Area town (the one she had lived in for 25 years before the move to Benicia). Had my sister not moved out of Benicia, she would still be at Sterling today! I will also say that the new lease agreement, had she stayed, very minimally increased the rent (~$20 per month) – very reasonable. In fact, Mom really wished that she could take the Sterling complex and Angela and Jose and place it where she currently lives. Angela and Jose basically became her second family and I again, can’t thank them enough! She truly misses her daily encounters with them on her walk with her dog.
Mr. Jose was top-notch and he was very thorough with any general maintenance that required fixing in her unit. The maintenance staff is truly outstanding! They respond fast, do high-quality work, and are always courteous and respectful. Every request she submitted was handled efficiently, often sooner than expected, and it’s clear Mr. Jose and his team take real pride in their work. In my opinion, Mr. Jose also deserves a lot of credit for making this place outstanding!
Thank you Angela and Jose for taking care of my Mom and going “above and beyond” in befriending her and making her feel part of the Sterling family. They are such a dedicated and hardworking team, the property is consistently well-maintained and stress-free to live in. It makes a huge difference knowing that management and maintenance actually care. I HIGHLY recommend this community, especially with the Angela/Jose management/maintenance team to anyone looking for an apartment that is modern (all high-end and appliances), in a safe/clean/well-kept environment (really great if you have a dog, which my mother did), and where residents are genuinely valued! As a community resident, I wanted to personally thank you for having Jose as part of our community. His friendly demeanor, strong work ethic, and genuine care for residents truly stood out. Jose consistently made things feel easier and more welcoming, and that kind of service makes a real difference.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was locked out of my apartment and went to the office for help. Even after giving my name and apartment number, they refused to look up my file and treated me like a stranger off the street. I’ve lived here almost a year and this new management has been nothing but unwelcoming.
