  This is for Vladimir Hristov. We were not confident when we found we needed to deal with Associa for a problem with a past deal - holdback on a supposed levy. But this strata mamger called back right away, sent us an email on the weekend and got us the information 2 lawyers and 2 realtors were waiting for - very quickly and efficiently no hassle at all.   I live in a strata building managed by Associa, and I am very happy with the service they provide. The Community Manager, Vladimir Hristov, is always responsive, professional, and willing to help whenever needed. His prompt communication and dedication make a real difference.   One of the most useless property management companies our Strata has dealt with. Our experience with Associa involved Diedra, Darko, Susan, Julia, Bruce, Gary and Andre, and the problems were extensive. Council dealt with ledger charges being applied before required Council votes, improper handling of a flooring installation matter, failure to remove a lien after the lienable strata fees had been paid, poor contractor communication, repeated failure to follow Council direction, and major delays in bylaw enforcement. It took approximately four months to deal with 21 bylaw matters, and some required initial notices were not properly issued at all, creating significant enforcement problems for Council. Associa was also repeatedly difficult to reach during emergencies and failed to properly follow through on temporary repairs and other urgent building issues. Council ultimately had to manage and mitigate many of these problems ourselves. At one point, we estimated the potential financial and legal exposure to the Strata from unresolved issues could have approached $400,000. There was very little accountability, and we ultimately terminated Associa’s contract. Based on our documented experience, I would not recommend Associa to any strata corporation. They rely on TownSq and expect council to respond to issues rather than manage the property. They usually respond to reviews like this outlining some fabricated Strata Council issue but do not work with this company; they will never accept responsibility or accountability from all levels of their agency. Save yourself all the time, stress and trouble of having to do the work yourself and do not sign an agreement with this agency no matter how wonderful their approach is or what they write under this post to clarify their position.

  I had a very frustrating experience dealing with Aakritee KC. A simple request turned into unnecessary back-and-forth, with repeated requests for information that had already been clarified. The communication felt passive aggressive and unnecessarily difficult and unhelpful, rather than focused on resolving the issue. Instead of simply providing the appropriate contact information or forwarding my request, I was asked to provide proof of ownership because my name apparently did not match the name in their property records. I had not asked for any information about the property owner or requested access to an owner’s account. I was simply trying to reach the strata manager. Very disappointing experience with the administration.

  Terrible communication with strata owners and poor efficiency when it comes to ease of basic tasks like paying strata fees or getting notified of important information through email. The building that I own a unit in had to be re-keyed and there were only two possible times to pick up the new keys from the caretaker’s office, both during M-F business hours. And this information was not even communicated via email; you had to rely on reading a 8 1/2 x 11” sheet of paper in the lobby that was posted on a corkboard. Luckily, I was able to buzz myself into the building after the re-keying because thankfully I connected my cell phone to the exterior door keypad previously. We live in 2026, Associa, do better.
