Reserved an apartment found out it had carpet which I specifically asked not to have, plus the carpet had two huge stains on it, used the dishwasher for the first time and all of the garbage disposal or dishwasher water came up in the sink smelled so bad, one of the plugs doesn’t work in living room, hot water stops after about 5 min shower, batteries went out on digital door lock not sure how long that’s supposed to last but I would think that’s something that would be changed out for a new resident, I got locked out for about 20 mins handyman showed up to put new batteries only because I got a hold of him 5 mins before they stop answering the phones, called the front desk office 3 mins before closing they said I would have to pay to have someone come out to replace the batteries, but handyman said it’s on them for that, I just wonder what would of happened if I would of been locked out after the office is closed not a good experience for me so far it’s only been a month at promontory and I regret trusting the staff to let me know that there wasn’t carpet in the living room which had stains already :/ forgot to add the homeless people hanging out inside the complex not outside but inside the complex behind the trash cans I saw a man removing what looked like his own dieing skin on the bottom of his leg, it was black and blue in color not a sight to see I’m disgusted 🤢

Terrible place to live. Simple maintenance requests take a minimum of two weeks to complete. When they do get out to "work" on the problem, they end up making it 10x worse to the point where professional plumbers/electrician/cleaners have to come out, and then you're stuck on their time. Meaning you'll have to go days without basic necessities, that they're making you pay too much for.. 0/10 Find ANYWHERE else to live besides this dump.

The apartments are nice. But the complex seems to be adding so many charges to your rent. Homeless people up and down around the complex. You are charged a security fee when there is no security on grounds. Lack of communication from the front desk.

I lived here for two years. Would have moved out after 1 if things in my life weren’t as crazy as they were around the end of my first lease. Apt 510 is where I resided. Hopefully they fixed the issues I had several times before renting it back out. But honestly with how they care for the property I doubt they did. Promontory is overpriced and broken down. They LOVE their fees. Dont consider if you can afford it by looking at the base rent. The added on fees easily equal about $100 more than rent. Thats not even taking into account the disgusting and overpriced laundry. I easily spent $40 (on the low end) to $80 (on the high end) on laundry per month. Each year we lived here they sent an email out explaining that they are introducing some new fee. the first year was a "convenience" fee which they said just lumped all of the current add on fees into one charge. however they "conveniently" didnt mention the fee was $20 more than the current add on charges. I asked what that was for and was told it was for the amenities and $10 was for parking (which parking is unassigned and covered parking is very limited). The unit i lived in was stuffy and muggy even with the AC running. for 750 sqft out electric bill as $160 a month and we kept our usage down as much as we could. The unit had little tono air circulation. Don’t be fooled by the fancy gym. My belief of why they put that in was to get possible tenants excited enough that they might overlook issues with their units. They take better care of the gym than their units. Keep in mind you won’t be living in the gym. Scrutinize the apartment itself. Neighbors expressed similar problems I had as well as the quality of the property. There were two issues i dealt with time and time and time again in apt 510. The AC being the first, it leaked often. I would make a work order they would fix it by vacuuming some line connected to the sink in the bathroom. Sometimes it fixed it for a month, other times it fixed it for like a week or two before i need to have them come do it again. they even replaced the AC and it still had this problem. Not to mention the AC is SOOOOOOOO LOUD, turn it on when you look at the place and see for yourself. I never had a quiet moment in two years. The bathtub being the second issue. for some reason it seemed to sag and it would cause the caulking to tear all along the edges of the tub. This allowed water to get between the wall and the tub. Again a fix i had to make work orders for at least 12+ times and by the time we moved out it still wasnt fixed. about a month after we moved in the bottom of the tub began to peel. I made a work order and their "fix" was to spray paint the bottom of the tub. That of course didnt hold up for long before i had to make a work order again. then they had it resealed or something and that maintained for about 3ish months maybe before the walls of the tub started to crack and peel. I am a massage therapist and i enjoy being able to take baths to relax and rest my body after work. after the initial "fix" spray painting the tub i stopped taking baths. Dont really want to bathe in chemicals. You might ask why not go to the hot tub. and i did as often as i could. The problem there was the entire first year both pools were closed almost the entire year. the second year they were closed for weeks at a time and never really reliably open. I have almost been hit on several occasions in the parking lot because people here are impatient and rude. they installed gates at the entrance before we moved. The people here kept hitting them and knocking them off the tracks and breaking. I presume it was because they cant relax and wait for the gates to open. The complex "solved" this by installing an ungodly amount of speed bumps one after the other. Youd think that fixed it, It did not, it was still often broken or off the track on numerous occasions in closing Im happy i dont live here anymore. My new space is further north, 1,000+ sqft, nice patio im allowed to decorate, quiet AC and is $100 less than the base rent i was paying.

Overall good facility and clean. I have been visiting my family there for a while and they have been renovating. The parking policy need to be reenforced especially Handicapped spots. 3 times alone the same car has been parking in the 500 block and sometimes taking 2 spots in the handicapped zone. My grandma had to park a few blocks away and it was an inconvenience. I noticed a violation note posted on the car but nothing was done about it. Seems like people don't care. Pool is clean and the dog park is lovely. If I didn't own a place I would definitely live there.
