I lived at Ascent on Pantano for over a year, and unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to anyone. While the facilities are decent, the biggest issue lies with the office staff with the exception of the manager, Juanita, and the maintenance team, who were always kind, respectful, and professional.
During the most recent biannual inspection, one of the employees (Adrienne) (who had already been unpleasant to deal with) entered my apartment even after I clearly called out for her to wait because I was getting dressed. She completely ignored me and opened the door anyway. If she had walked in just a second earlier, she would’ve seen me half-naked. The situation left me feeling violated, disrespected, and unsafe in my own home. Her only reaction was a sarcastic “Yikes, I’m sorry,” and when she returned later, she acted as though nothing had happened no accountability, no real apology, just attitude.
Another staff member, Pam, was just as unprofessional. On my last day, when I went to drop off my final check, she rushed me out, acted annoyed, and didn’t bother to explain the move-out process or even answer a simple question about returning my keys. I was treated like an inconvenience rather than a resident who had paid rent on time for over a year.
Overall, I felt deeply uncomfortable and unwelcome here toward the end of my lease. The only positive part of this community is Juanita and the wonderful maintenance team, who genuinely care about residents and consistently went above and beyond. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff’s behavior made living here far more stressful and at times, unsafe than it ever should have been.
I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously. No resident should have to feel uncomfortable or disrespected in their own home.
