If you like water damage, mold, termites, and owners who do not care about their tenants, then this place is for you! In the 2 years we lived at this property we had 5 property managers! WOW! Lesslie the current property manager is the only person who cares about the tenants, but the owners will likely lose her too because they do not take care of anyone.
We had a hole in our roof for over 2 months and they did NOTHING! We got no discount on rent and still had to pay to move out, despite the fact that cal-am legally broke their contract as landlords.
I have lived in 5 different states and have literally never had a worse experience.
Thanks to lesslie, a few things managed to get fixed before we left, but the owners have still not approved to get the roof fixed. If you do plan to move in to this nightmare of a property, I suggest reaching out to the city of Tempe ahead of time to have them evaluate the property and code violations before you sign anything.

Our lease is almost over and we are definitely looking forward to the day it ends! When we signed our lease we were informed that maintenance had some “minor repairs” that they were finishing up. Unfortunately, the property management didn’t describe the extent of the repairs that needed to be done. We moved into a unit with water damaged walls and flooring, painters tape on the vents, and not one but two unfinished bathrooms. We notified management and maintenance immediately and were told that it would be taken care of in the next week.
Fast forward to many unanswered calls and empty promises later- we had some work orders that were 3-4 months old unfulfilled. We were told maintenance was understaffed (to put it lightly) and I will give Fidel major props because he did the best that he could apparently being the only maintenance worker working three different properties. I was lenient for the first couple of months because I know how hard it can be working understaffed, however, it got the point where we had to get the City of Tempe Code Compliance Office involved. It wasn’t until then that they called the necessary companies that were needed to handle the repairs that were needed and fix things that should have been already done by the move in date.
There are other things I can touch on that I would love to share, but that would indeed make this review far too lengthy. The bottom line is that the business practices being conducted here are unacceptable. Moving into a unit with unaddressed water damage and unfinished construction, and then being forced to involve the City of Tempe Code Compliance Office to initiate basic repairs, demonstrates a severe and willful disregard for tenant safety and contractual obligations. The systemic failure of management to staff and prioritize essential maintenance should serve as a major warning. Prospective renters should proceed with extreme caution.
I rated this property two stars instead of one solely because of the sincere effort shown by Fidel during his time here, as well as the promise shown by the new property manager, Leslie. Leslie has been communicative and shows a genuine effort to resolve the outstanding issues. Her responsiveness offers a glimmer of hope that the deeply rooted management problems here might finally be addressed.

Wanted to look at a unit here and got into contact with Fernanda. There was open house, we went at the time it started. She wasn’t there so I contacted her. She told me she had an emergency at another property and would let me know when she was on her way. From the way she said it i thought i would be waiting 15 minutes maybe 30 tops. Didn’t get a response when I asked for an eta. I called, she had me and people waiting outside with no information on time. after waiting little longer than an hour i left as did other people. later get a text saying she can have the maintenance man open it. so thsi was an option the whole time. this was 4 hours later. told her i couldn’t make it (see it was 4 hours later …) and wanted to see it that weekend. no response. tried again no response. if this is how they treat people trying to just see the unit… i don’t want to know how they treat their tenants. extremely unprofessional and bad at communication. she should’ve told me about how long it would take so i would know if i should wait. wasted so many people’s time with her lack of professional skills. if u get a tour im surprised

I moved out of Dolce Villagio after numerous issues regarding the management team. They failed to communicate time frames for repairs and often neglected to take care of problems. Adding to it, the management team never returned my deposit. I left the townhome spotless, cleaned the carpets, and had a signature from the manager stating that I would receive the total amount.
