    I chose to live at a Mark-Taylor property because of the company’s stated Core Values & Principles. Unfortunately, when I needed them most, those values were nowhere to be found. After experiencing an attempted break-in to my unit at Broadstone Waterfront while I was home, I no longer felt physically safe living there. It was an incredibly distressing situation. Instead of being met with support and understanding during a time of real fear and uncertainty, I was met with rigid policy and zero flexibility. Mark-Taylor’s first core value is “Do the Right Thing: Conscientiously making choices that benefit people and the organization, even in difficult situations.” This was exactly the type of difficult situation where doing the right thing would have meant working with a resident who no longer felt safe. Instead, I was charged a substantial lease break fee despite the circumstances — even though I no longer had a safe place to stay, had to relocate immediately just to feel secure again, and was also required to pay additional move-out fees, all without any support, flexibility, or grace during an incredibly distressing time. What made this even more frustrating was being told by the property manager, Victor, that he would have no problem re-renting my apartment because their units lease so quickly, making it clear this was not a financial hardship for Mark-Taylor, yet no consideration was extended to me. They also state “Be Transparent” and “Take Extreme Ownership.” In my experience, there was no meaningful ownership taken regarding the safety concerns that led to my decision. Conversations with the property manager, Victor, and his supervisor, Robb, felt transactional rather than solutions-oriented. There was no effort to acknowledge how serious the situation was or to offer any reasonable accommodation given the distressing circumstances. It’s easy to list values on a website. It’s much harder to live them when it impacts revenue. In my case, Mark-Taylor chose policy and profit over people and safety. If a company truly believes in doing the right thing and taking extreme ownership, those principles should show up most clearly in moments like this. Unfortunately, they did not. I would strongly encourage prospective residents to consider how this company responds when a tenant faces a serious safety concern.

That kind of personalized service is rare — and it made all the difference. If you’re touring apartments in Scottsdale or considering a move to Broadstone Scottsdale Quarter, do yourself a favor and ask for DJ — you’ll immediately see why they’re such an asset to the community! 🌟

    There are countless apartment communities in Scottsdale that label themselves “luxury,” and after spending some time here, you quickly realize how loosely that term is used. Having lived in Scottsdale for eight years, I can say without hesitation that Broadstone Waterfront is the true definition of luxury. The property is consistently immaculate, the common areas are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels intentional and elevated. Management is proactive rather than reactive, which makes a noticeable difference in day-to-day living. The residents are friendly and respectful, adding to the community feeling. What truly sets Broadstone Waterfront apart (aside from the location) is the team. Victor, Julie, and Eric in the leasing office are professional, responsive, and transparent, while Adrian, Ulises, and Jaime on the service team are prompt, thorough, and take real pride in their work. Over the past three years, their consistency has exceeded my expectations. If you’re considering renting in Scottsdale, Broadstone Waterfront should be at the top of your list. Living here has genuinely redefined my expectations of luxury apartment living.

    How to washing machine that broke the part wasn’t available. They let me use another washing machine next door all I should Blaque did. He was extremely helpful came and put the right part in this morning and we’re all set. Thank you.
