Parking is the primary issue at this complex. After normal working hours (around 5:00 PM), it can be difficult to find an uncovered space, and there have been evenings where I needed to park outside the gates in the front or wait for a spot to open. During the daytime (8:00 AM–5:00 PM), parking has not been an issue.
Optional paid parking is available: carports (approximately $35/month) and garages (approximately $50/month). At the time of writing, carports are waitlisted and garages are available. I would strongly recommend securing one of these options if you plan to live here. Pricing and availability may change over time. Please keep in mind, summers here are hot, so a garage may be ideal.
Aside from parking, I have not experienced major issues. Residents are generally quiet and respectful. Families with young kids live here, and the general area is safe. The renovated units are nice, and my only maintenance issues have been minor (a lightbulb and a few loose drawers).
Management recently changed (January 2026), and the property is now managed by Greystar. Parking appears to be under review, and I hope improvements are made, as that would significantly improve the living experience.
Location is a strong positive — close to shopping and food — and rent is competitive for the area. Compared to similar nearby complexes, total annual costs were approximately $3,000–$6,000 less for comparable floor plans, which was a major factor in choosing to live here.
Current monthly costs to factor in (based on prior management company, I am unsure what Greystar is charging at the time of this review):
-Carport or garage (recommended): ~$35–$50
-Conservice (water, shared utilities, fees): ~$70–$90
-Mandatory liability insurance: ~$15 (separate from renter’s insurance)
-Electricity (APS) and internet (Cox), this varies
-Rent
-Application fees (roughly $260), these can be waived if you are employed by a preferable employer, ask the leasing office. I dont know if Greystar will continue to this, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Most nearby apartment complexes waive their application fees for the large employers in the area.
Pricing and fees may differ for new tenants under current management. Maintenance has been helpful and responsive! Shoutout to Carlos, he does a great job.
One additional positive: the complex is very dog-friendly, with many residents owning dogs.
Overall, I am glad to be living here and it's a great choice for the area. The parking is an inconvenience, but compared to nearby complexes, I am content with this inconvenience compared to what I would be paying elsewhere. Just disappointed that parking here is so problematic.
I was locked out of my apartment and Carlos came to save me fixed our door fast and efficiently thanks brotha
They delete NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!! People left them so many negative ones, the score was much higher before Ascent took over. I’ve watched their reviews for a while now and when I started noticing the pattern of how they delete things, I made screen shots of some of those negative reviews written by other people since the new owners took over and named it Ascent. What’s really laughable, is that they actually get someone to write a positive review soon after a negative is left. We used to live here and loved it until it became what it is now, ASCENT!!! People like Xasandra and the other older woman that was the manager there at the time made us never want to even interact with any of their staff. They pushed almost everyone out with their pathetic renovations and for that reason people ended up with horrible neighbors. We literally had trash living above us that made our lives a living nightmare. Thankfully we got the heck out, while those who deserved to remain in that hell hole remained. The office expects you to live there as you would at a nursing home, with total disregard for the fact that you have children. If the 60+ year old tenant wants cemetery peace during the day, without any consideration for the fact that other people who pay rent have lives too and kids, than cemetery peace is what the office will demand, which is such a joke in itself, because their walls are paper thin and their renovations have only made matters worse! We had an old woman bang on the ceiling when our baby would push a few building blocks around on the floor during DAY TIME!!!! Parking sucks and so limited, linoleum floors (cheapest material possible) paint from bathtubs chipped within a week of us transferring to a renovated unit. They don’t scrub the old paint off, but just paint it over and of course it will chip soon after! But don’t worry, they will try to stick you with the bill to pay for that when you move out. Oh and the best part, ROACHES!!! Since some of those new tenants moved in, people started noticing roaches and leaving reviews about it, which of course are now deleted. Roaches is a problem that can be treated but never permanently goes away. Neighbors just got trashier apparently, because the package that was sent to our old address at ascent was literally stolen by the new tenants that now live there. RUN from this hell hole! Leaving was the best decision we made! FYI I don’t leave reviews with my real name for privacy sake, so don’t give me your, you looked me up and couldn’t find me.
New Management under Greystar 2 days in already experiencing the rudeness of the ladies at the front desk love the complex but nothing worse than giving people your money and them being rude to you in return.
Future renters Major Safety Concerns: Apartments are also used as Airbnbs. Expect loud parties, constant noise, and a revolving door of short-term guests who have zero respect for the community. Long-term renters are forced to deal with disturbances, security concerns, trash, parking issues, and management that allows this behavior to continue. Living here feels unstable and frustrating, not like a real residential community.
I've been a tenant here over a year now, and I still am nothing but happy with the management here. They go out of their way, above and beyond to keep us taken care of, even going as far as to reach out to higher management petitioning to match lease rates for continued residency. Maintenance guys are always punctual, nothing goes ignored. Office staff is friendly and helpful, complex grounds are clean, and it's generally a pretty laid back environment of people living their lives how they see fit, without too much noise or drama. I'll likely stay here until I buy a house.
