I lived at 56th North in Desert Ridge for about a year and unfortunately my experience was very mixed.
There are definitely some positives. The maintenance team is friendly and responsive, the location is great and close to everything, the pool area is nice, and the price for a two bedroom is very reasonable for the area.
That said, there were a lot of ongoing issues that never really got addressed.
From day one, the master bathroom toilet had heavy calcium buildup and staining. I mentioned it multiple times during maintenance visits for other issues, but it was never fixed. The guest bathroom sink had visible water damage at move in that was discussed during the walkthrough. Instead of repairing it properly, they just painted over it and said sorry.
The washer and dryer were a constant headache. They broke 3 to 4 times during the year. Even after “repairs,” the washer would randomly stop mid cycle and the dryer ruined several pieces of clothing by tangling and ripping buttons and drawstrings. I lost multiple items because of it.
The dog park is another big issue. While it looks nice, many residents don’t clean up after their dogs and there’s zero enforcement. There’s often waste all over the ground. Both my dogs got sick after going there, and my vet advised me to avoid it completely. Management didn’t seem to care.
The front office staff is very friendly during the tour and move in process, but over time that changed. Communication became dismissive and unhelpful when problems came up.
Something else I noticed is that many units around me sat empty for months after people moved out, which says a lot. The complex looks good on the surface, but a lot of things feel like quick cosmetic fixes instead of real maintenance.
Overall, the price might look tempting, but the ongoing issues and lack of follow through just weren’t worth it for me. I’m honestly glad to be leaving and would recommend looking at other nearby complexes first.

Extremely friendly leasing staff and management. The location offers easy access to multiple highways and is close to a wide variety of shopping and dining options. Amenities include a walking path, resort-style pool, fitness center, meeting space, and more.

I went in to take a look at the property and look at prices. I was shown around by someone named Ashley. She was very nice and gave me all the info I asked for. I liked that she was not overbearing and asked what I was looking for in a new place and showed me what they had to offer. The property was nice, but after consideration, it was just too far from work for me. Great property, and the staff was great when I came in. Thank you Ashley for showing me around. Sorry I had to look closer to work, it would have been a great place to call home.

I have read the reviews for this property and had a little hesitation, but I did go on a tour of two apartments there and was very pleased with what I saw. The staff was friendly and the young lady Ashley who gave me my tour was so sweet pleasant And very knowledgeable of the property and trust me. I have plenty of questions which she didn’t mind answering whatsoever she took her time I wasn’t rushed. I even went back and looked at the first unit again. I’ve been to several communities and I will have to say miss Ashley was spot on. I would like to say thank you Ashley for a great experience. I’ve had a few rough ones and you have a smile that will make everybody’s day better.
