    We have lived here for two years and have never been more disappointed in a living situation. if we could give 0 stars, we would. We recently discovered bed bugs in our apartment, specifically around the outlets and baseboards of a wall we share with another unit (which typically indicates a multi-unit infestation). We were given preparation instructions for the spray and told to start that day. We requested that our unit as well as all of the units in our building were inspected. It took over 48 hours from the initial notification for us to be inspected, which we were fine with considering it was a holiday weekend. The inspector was not by any means thorough and basically told us "yeah you have bed bugs" but did not attempt to tell us where they were or trace a possible source. When we asked about the other units in the building being inspected, we were told by management we would have documentation of our inspection as well as the neighboring units' inspections the next monday. our apartment was sprayed two days after the inspection, keeping our unit unlivable (because of the "prep" to be sprayed) for 5 days. The day comes where we are supposed to receive documentation of our spray as well as the other apartments, and we receive nothing from the pest company itself. Instead, there is an email that states: "...we promptly conducted inspections of the surrounding units as well as nearby apartments. At this time, there has been no evidence of bed bug activity identified in any neighboring units. Based on these findings, it appears that the issue is isolated to your apartment home. Per the terms of your lease agreement and community policies, when pest activity is determined to be isolated to a single unit, the cost of treatment is the responsibility of the resident. As such, a charge of $277.00 for professional treatment services will be applied to your resident ledger." After receiving this email with 0 formal documentation, we decided to ask our neighbor if this indeed was true and they had been inspected for bed bugs. 5 of our neighbors (most of whom share wall(s) with us) said no, and they also had not been notified there was a bed bug infestation at all. We have requested to end our lease early with no penalties, which has been denied by Montero and Baron Properties. Today when I went to speak to management, she was conveniently out of office until tomorrow. No big deal, not like we have 2/3 people living in this apartment sleeping on a couch in our living room.

    This is definitely the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. If you're on the hunt for a new apartment, this one is the gold standard. First, the community is absolutely beautiful and well-kept. There are gorgeous winding pathways through the community with grass and trees, which was a huge plus coming from where I used to live in Downtown Phoenix. The amenities are amazing, including a 24-hour fitness center, a massive pool and hot tub with lots of space for suntanning, a spot for lighting a little campfire, a spot for grilling next to the pool, and a nice clubhouse you can rent for parties and such. The place is super pet friendly. Our one bedroom unit was super spacious (almost 1000 sq ft), had a nice mix of carpet and wood floors, and a super cool walk in closet with a giant mirror as the door to the closet. You get a covered parking spot and there's usually plenty of overflow parking for guests. If we ever had an issue (which was rare), the property management staff was on top of it. Property managers here are super friendly and responsive. They organize food trucks to stop by the complex regularly, hold raffles for a small prize every so often, and organize fun holiday events like a gift-wrapping station during Christmas time. I would say the rent is competive for the quality of the apartments and community. I also love the area. It's quiet but not too quiet, with a few nice spots across the street at Dana Park to eat and shop at. San Tan village is only a fifteen minute drive away, and the complex is right off the U.S. 60 so we could easily travel to wherever we needed to go. To sum it up, I highly recommend this complex if you're looking for a nice place to live. They have everything you need and more, and rent is reasonable for the area and amenities.

    Karen and Andrea created a pleasant, warm and welcoming environment at Montero Dana Park. I spent the past month searching for apartments in various parts throughout Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler. Hands-down these two were the best team that I had met in about 25 inquiries. I felt guided through the entire process better than I ever have when apartment searching. The communication was prompt, and they were super professional, incredibly knowledgeable about all of my needs and went out of their way to meet me in the middle. Five stars for these two so excited to move in!

    We love it here! It’s quiet. Clean. The staff is always friendly. Super quick to address any concerns or issues. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for clean apartments that offer peace and quiet!
