- LMLuz MainsJan 12, 20261.0My parents visited The Highlands at Brentwood to inquire about purchasing a home, but the experience was appalling. The front desk agent, Gina Horn, was extremely rude and refused to provide basic information or a tour. Despite their website showing availability, she flatly stated there was nothing for us to purchase. Based on her hostile stares and total lack of basic courtesy, we felt clearly discriminated against due to our Latino ethnicity. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this is a recurring pattern with Gina. No one should pay high community fees to be treated with such "disgusting" behavior. We will be taking our business elsewhere and filing a formal complaint with HUD’s Office of Fair Housing. Save yourself the headache and avoid this community

- CLCindy LyonMar 30, 20212.0My husband and I were delighted when we found our home in the Highland on Brentwood, two years ago. We signed a lease stated we understood the age restriction was for retirees 55 years of age or younger. After 2 years, I can tell you that people of every age range are allowed. And the way that works is like this: if someone owns a home here, they may rent or lease the property to anyone. Now they've changed the age to 45 years and older. I find this unacceptable. There is a gentleman who has had the police to his property for shots fired and the man frequently overdoses on some substance and the paramedics & police come. He used to have teenagers running around and a 2 year old child was left unattended and it wandered onto a neighbor's property. If something goes wrong with the sewer system, the resident is obliged to pay as much as $6000 to have their sewage system repaired on your site, even though you do not own the property on which your home sits. Before you purchase, I suggest you talk to the residents who live here.
