The home buying experience was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary there, but when it comes to quality and good workmanship, these people are awful. I had water building up at the bottom of the wall connected to the back of my shower and they claimed the window wasnt sealed correctly and that they fixed it. The second time they came out, they said it was the siding that was coming off bc it wasnt put on correctly. The third time they came out they went back to the window and ultimately I told them to stop coming because it was apparent they didnt want to be there and didnt know what they were doing. Turns out, the shower was leaking the whole time bc they never sealed the shower fixture or the corner of the tile so every time I took a shower water was getting in the wall. Now I have mold and insurance wont cover any of it and the warranty is long gone. They build these mobile homes to stand for a year and then they start falling apart. I have replaced nearly every piece of trim and door frame, along with all the drawers in my kitchen and master bath. Another thing, that is against Arkansas code is none of the plumbing or electrical that penetrates the floor is sealed. It is just an open hole. So if you are thinking of buying from Clayton, save yourself some trouble and dont.

I went here to look at new double wides and let me tell you the amount of grossly shoddy craftsmanship and work on these homes should not even be legal! It's so bad... I can't believe anyone would buy that garbage. It's some of the worst I've seen yet when looking at different brands

Recently bought a mobile home from Clayton Homes in Conway. Home is nice but took longer than originally told to be delivered. Once delivered it was put on the wrong spot and they had to come back and adjust the position. My biggest issue was with follow up afterwards. Delivered on October 16. Was told they would come do the final walk through for any issues I found on October 17. They then rescheduled for October 23. Then didn’t hear anything until I reached out again. Finally showed up November 7. I showed him issues. By December 9, now follow up on issues. I reached out and was told he’d get me taken care of. I reached out again January 9. He said he would get back with me on Monday. It’s now January 22, over four months since trailer was set. Still haven’t heard a word from anyone at Clayton homes

If you’re considering buying from Clayton Homes, be prepared for a long, frustrating experience once the sale is complete. Our home came with a laundry list of problems that we were assured would be fixed under warranty, but after months (and in some cases years) of waiting, most of them either remain unresolved or were “fixed” so poorly that they broke again almost immediately.
For example, our kitchen countertop started bubbling and breaking apart shortly after we moved in. It took forever to get anyone to come look at it. When they finally replaced it, the new countertop was separating at the seam within days. We were told they’d order another replacement, but that never happened. We waited and waited until our warranty ran out, and now they won’t even return our calls.
That’s not all. The plumbing was done incorrectly — the shower drain in our bathroom wasn’t even attached! The AC drain line was capped off, which could have caused serious water damage if we hadn’t caught it early ourselves.
The home itself had potential, but the workmanship and customer service have been absolutely unacceptable. Once your warranty is close to expiring, good luck getting them to take responsibility for anything. I wouldn’t recommend Clayton Homes to anyone who expects reliability, communication, or basic quality control.
