  When we began looking for a new home, we visited Clayton Homes in Opelika. They listened to our needs and wants and showed us the most beautiful homes. Chase and Jason allowed us the time and space that we needed in choosing our new home (The Bandon). We can't wait to move in!!

  I had a very stressful experience working with Clayton Opelika. My fiance and I first were looking to purchase our home through them in May and we were told in writing that the home would be ready within several weeks. I was pregnant and told absolutely by the time my son was born in late June/early July. It turns out this was a complete lie. My son was 2 and a half months old by the time we got a move in date. We weren't in until October. Working with Jason was horrible. He told us he would come to see our property multiple times so we could address various issues and never came. He was rude and condescending to my father in law and lied to him about what he had been telling me. Our septic tank was installed and not hooked up to our home until we noticed an open pipe and asked about it right before we moved in. Thank god we noticed because if we hadn't our waste would have been emptying right underneath our home. The contractors they work with had issues. The guys who set up the AC tracked heavy mud all over the inside of our brand new house. Thankfully the home was cleaned, but its still unpleasant to see with no warning and unprofessional. There were issues with the deck and the skirting that were resolved but not without a lot of fighting and it was stressful to deal with while taking care of a newborn. Jason rarely gave us updates unprompted and it seemed like he only wanted us to make the purchase and didn't seem to care about helping us get the home ready in a timely manner. He expected me to be the person reaching out to the various contractors to set everything up even though thats supposed to be HIS job. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because Cooper was amazing at fixing issues we had with the interior and with our orientation. When I finally reached out to Jason's supervisor he was also able to help us finally move in and fix the issues with the deck and skirting.

  Clayton Homes I will recommend to others purchasing modular homes. Clayton in Opelika has a sale representative (Mr. Hornsby) whom I've worked with to get in one of their modular. He is very knowledgeable with his job and take care of his customers and follower up with all plans and decisions to get in your new home. If nervous upon buying power that's no problem he there to help make it easy to decide and have an listening ear. I recommend Mr. HORNSBY as your salesman at Clayton Homes in Opelika,AL
