We moved in 2/19/26, the apartment is nice but the front office SUCKS! I've never been this disappointed with a front office at an apartment before. In the 18 days that I've lived here, we never had and still don't have AC, our dryer doesn't work and a few other maintenance issues. We've reached out to the front office numerous times, no answer to resolve the issue, no accommodations made. No one has called us once without us reaching out first, it's been us calling them every single time. I'm not sure if we would of had any form of communication if it wasn't for us calling and showing up in the office. No, I'm sorry, they did call once, to let ud know the rent payment didn't go through! Being disappointed is an understatement. They can call about that money, but they aren't even doing their part as an apartment complex. It's nothing they could say to make me feel the front office cares, they would definitely have a lot to show, for me to believe. I don't trust them. We were so excited about moving here but from day one it has been one disappointment after another. We're going back up to the front office again today, praying something gets done today. I doubt it will though 😔

I have lived here for a while and my recent experience has been traumatizing. Two weeks ago I discovered that I had a rat in my apartment, I quickly cleaned everything up, threw away all of my food and notified the front office as soon as they opened the next morning. I hoped they would take immediate action to take care of the rat. I realized that it was not just one rat but an infestation. I kept calling, emailing, and going in person to ask about what they planned to do to handle the situation. Every interaction with management showed how incompetent, rude, and unprofessional they are. They failed to even call pest control until multiple days had passed. During that time our apartment became completely uninhabitable due to the health hazards of rats and their droppings. Despite all of the efforts to communicate with management and maintenance they still have not done anything to solve the problem. One of the visits to the front office they told me they didn’t have materials or a Lowe’s card so they can’t do anything. I refused to leave until they told me how they planned to fix the many holes in my walls chewed by the rats. They walked back to my apartment and their solution was to nail a “no parking sign” in front of one of the holes, and to place a peice of cardboard and a bucket in front of another hole. On top of the rat infestation, we reported a leak in our hot water heater a month ago that has not been checked on or fixed. This leak has led to a discovery of black mold in the apartment near the leaking hot water heater. After speaking with our neighbor, I learned that they and another apartment in our building were required to move out due to the black mold. This whole situation has been a nightmare and there seems no end in sight because of management and maintenance’s lack of action. If you are considering moving here be aware that serious maintenance and health issues are not taken seriously or addressed promptly.

Honestly the worst housing experience ever from the mold to the management and office staff. The manager of the complex didn’t care about any issues and everything was brushed off our 5 year old became sick from the mold and after months of trying to get the issue addressed and telling them we’d prefer someone to be home before any of the employees entered the apartment because why would we trust them it’s always a random and new maintenance person. Nevertheless we also had 4 males to walk past our door with guns and we were told by Lydia that was their problem. Not only is this complex infested with mold and horrible employees it’s also infested with roaches and we were told this by many other residents about this the complete apartment complex needs to be demolished honestly if I could go back and never move here trust me I would’ve saved that money and went and lived elsewhere glad to be away from the slums if your planning to move here just don’t read the other reviews it’s nothing good maybe two or three and they more then likely are paid to say it or a fake account but nevertheless the amount of pictures are including it wouldn’t let me up load the videos and all the other pictures DON’T MOVE HERE

I would never recommend Astoria to anyone. This was the worst experience my husband and I have ever gone through with renting. Far from “luxury” like they advertise. Thankfully, we now have orders to move far away via the military. The AC unit went faulty halfway through our stay and we contacted the property manager endlessly only to be ignored or dismissed every time. This made our power bill shoot up from $120 a month to $350. This problem persisted for 6 months, and we never came to a solution on their end. The washer also broke down and we had no means to wash our clothes. For a month they refused to fix it despite making multiple reports and reaching out in person. We were then told the property manager, Amber, purposely was holding out on fixing it. I am pregnant and this has caused me so much distress and depression during my pregnancy. Multiple things were broken the day we moved in such as the toilet paper holders, the bath tub head, the shelf over the desk, etc. The sink and bath tub in the guest bathroom were both clogged as well. We were going to take our issues to court, but this place honestly just isn’t worth it.
