EDIT: Instead of working to fix issues or provide decent customer service, they decided to prohibit my lease renewal.
I have been here since 2021 and loved the original management, but now not so much. Management has changed 2 times, once when the private owners sold to Allegiant Carter, and again replacing all front office staff. Can't forget that management will police your outfit when using the pool, what is this high school? Can't just use the sky lounge, you have to reserve/rent it. Resident events are held during work hours on a weekday, so of course, attendance is low. Don't try asking for a concession for issues because they will just state, that it's not fair to other residents. Also BEWARE, any 5-star reviews from Aug 9 to Sep 3 are incentivized with an automatic prize raffle entry. This place is not luxury, modern sure, but not luxury.
The apartments are not worth the market rate they price their apartments at, especially when the building construction can't even get a 90-degree corner right on the walls, and some spots on the floor are spongey. Appliances are base models, the smart thermostat constantly freaks out and will power cycle when switching between cooling and heating. I had them switch my control unit to a different version without a touchscreen and now it works fine. Had my water heater trip my breaker constantly for 1 month until they finally fixed it. The rug in the open hallway is a "choice". The amount of dog poop around the property is ridiculous. The gas grill control knobs are falling off and make it difficult to light. Also, 2 out of the 3 In-unit building fire alarms still don't work after tests and a repair.
They also will rent each unit at a different price so although your neighbor may have the same layout as you, they could have cheaper rent. Rent increases but no substantial quality increases. Removal of my "Preferred Employer Discount". Also, most other complexes offer 1 month's rent to break a lease, this needs 2 month's payment. They also fired the 1 courtesy officer because he was not available during his main job at the city jail. Most other places hire 2 officers on opposing shifts to have full coverage, now we have none, smart move management. There is also such a thing as actually hiring a security service.
The apartment complex has a ridiculous common area electricity reimbursement (~$15-$20) and a billing Fee ($5), on top of your own Huntsville Utility Bill. Water used to be a flat rate but now it is variable, and sewer used to be an allocation, now it is variable like the common area electric. Valet Trash is mandatory ($28). Cable/Internet is all lumped into one service for ($100) but there is no prorate for not using the cable option as it is an IPTV-based service. Also, I have no way to manage my devices on a portal and frequently I have to call to get my ethernet jack turned back on because the company still can't keep a record that I live in my unit. And 2 times now A lightning storm has caused network hardware damage causing great amounts of packet loss or failing connections until the internet provider can come and make a repair which is a minimum of 2 weeks of downtime.
Over the winter when it froze for 3 days, the entire parking lot and sidewalks were frozen over with ICE, not snow. In the lease, they state they "have no duty to remove any ice, sleet, or snow". Thanks for not caring about the safety of your residents. Loved that the rest of Clift farms had snow plows and salting but we had nothing.
