I have had an on going rat issue for over a week. I have put in multiple maintenance requests and called the office many times. I have been confined to my room because the rats are large in size and I’m under stress. All they did is come out and set one trap in a closet and that did not work. This has not only been an all around health and safety risk. Nobody should have to live like this! They refuse to pick up the phone when I call. And the one time they did whoever picked up the phone had not one care in the world and told me “they would see”. I called the day after multiple times and still no answer. I have sent emails and still no answer. I don’t understand why I can’t get any help. I DO NOT recommend anyone living in this complex.

The Hills at Hoover was very disappointing. The unit I moved into was nothing like the clean, well-kept apartments shown during the tour. Mine required deep cleaning, smelled of mildew for months, and had multiple broken appliances—many of which were never fully fixed despite work orders. The breezeways were filthy, trash and cigarette butts were thrown on my balcony, and kids loitered and cursed at my door while management did little to help. Yet, residents are still expected to pay every fee in full, even when the apartments fail to provide a safe and well-maintained living space.

Hi I posted about a month ago about my experience at the hills. It’s only gotten worst btw. I came home after a long day of work to find my apartment like this after they said they were gonna fix my previous issue with plumbing…I’ll just leave these photos here…

When I tell you this is the worst complex I have ever lived in. Like I never give reviews. Most apartments are pretty cool. Few minor problems but nothing major. BUT PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. I’m pretty chill so I rarely complain but this place is just full of mold, pests, and just sketchy people it’s ridiculous. First day I moved in they tried to charge me with a trash fee because my trash had like 8 bags even though I moved in 9 hours ago. Red flag #1. Management and the office changes so much you don’t know who is who when you walk in. Pool ain’t ever been open. EVER. Like summertime? Nope. CLOSED. The “gym” is like three machines. But these just minor stuff. Let’s get to the meat of it. My upstairs neighbor apartment leaked into mine at like 3am. And I don’t mean a small leak. Talking about if I wasn’t there my apartment would’ve flooded. Tried to call the hotline for an emergency. Left like 3 messages. Ended up having to call 911. Now my living room closet and living room ceiling is molded and smells like wet paint. Put in like 5 work orders. Some random black woman came by, said she’d be back and I never saw her since. Fruit fliesss for days. You can bleach your whole apartment and in 5 mins they’ll be back. Let me see what else can I remember. Woke up to my den window being fully opened and I know it wasn’t me. That was my fault though. Should’ve made sure it was locked. Had a police shootout and I didn’t even know til I walked out and saw the SWAT team lol. Plumbing is trash. Sink always stopped up. I can go on and on. To future residents please, please. Do not move here. Like it’s not just minor stuff. This whole complex needs to be prosecuted. Valet trash might come, they might not. The laundry room is so old it’ll make your clothes even dirtier. Like your supposed to feel at home. I had to find a place quick so I didn’t really have a choice so I was kinda stuck but wheeeew. Do not move here. God bless

It doesn’t even deserve 1 star This place is a dump. I didn’t have AC for 3 years including while I was pregnant. The water is hardly ever on. Maintenance doesn’t want to do their job they will literally use any excuse. They are all terrified of dogs so they say I’m on my way then show up 5 hours later I’m not leaving them in a cage if I’m home I’ll put them up for you to feel safe you have my number call me I’ll put them up. I haven’t been able to use my kitchen in over a week the bathroom faucet constantly runs not drips runs it will not shut off. This place also had a police shoot out the first month we moved in. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!! You deserve better!!
