  I visited Clayton Homes in Clanton, AL yesterday. Sherle seemed very nice and willing to help me until I told her that I was in the process of purchasing land and selling my home. So it would be some time before I’m ready to purchase and I’m just researching my options. Her willingness to help me suddenly changed. I told her the price range and style I was interested in and she pointed me in the direction of the homes I should look at. Offered no information. No answers to any questions I had. When I did start to ask her questions, after walking the lot alone, I was told “why don’t you come back when you’re closer to purchasing”. Which translates to me “don’t waste my time”. I thought that was very unprofessional to say to a potential buyer. It should not matter if I was ready to purchase today or 6 months from now. I visited another dealer just across the road that day before going to Clayton and the customer service was night and day. The first dealer took their time and were very patient to answer all of my questions. I had a lot! The salesperson introduced himself. Offered me something to drink and took me into his office. We went over all of the details from construction to financing. He ask me several questions about different details that I haven’t even thought about. Then out to the lot we went. He walked me through several models, explaining all of the different features and options. He really took his time to talk with me to have a good understanding of my needs. We went back to the office and he gave me floor plans of all of the models that I liked. Also showed me all of the available options. I truly believe that I have decided that I will purchase a new home from them. Clayton homes was my second stop of the day. So after viewing the first dealers homes and then viewing Clayton homes, the quality of the home seem to be lacking. Both had Sheetrock and tile. Both were temporarily set up for showing. Meaning that the homes aren’t perfectly leveled out yet. So naturally you expect to see some cracks in the sheet rock and grout lines of the tile. At the first dealer there were hardly any cracks in the sheet rock or tile. Maybe two of three spots out of four or five homes we viewed. The Clayton homes had numerous cracks in the sheet rock. In the Clayton home there was a tile backsplash in the kitchen. I notice a several cracks in the grout which is to be expected as the home has flexed during moving and is not leveled. The problem was when I push on the tile were the crack was I notice that the tile has come completely detached from the wall in multiple places. So immediately I notice the difference in quality and level of finishes. The Clayton homes where the same price and higher than the first dealer I looked at. Which was discouraging due to the obvious difference I felt in quality. I would have expected the homes to be less than what I previously viewed. So for the fact that the salesperson at Clayton showed no interest what so ever to spend anytime with me, gave me no information, no tour to explain build and options. Clayton of Clanton will definitely not be an option. I felt that the quality of finishes looked to be very poor. Customer service did not exist and was told to come back when I’m ready to purchase. Clayton homes in Clanton will not have my business. Timber Creek homes at Timberline Homes for the win yesterday! For their customer service and quality. Which I really thought that I would like Clayton homes more from searching online, unfortunately the lack of customer service and quality of their homes helped change my mind pretty quick. Very disappointing. Be your own judge, this is just my opinion. Happy home hunting!!

  Julie at Clayton Homes was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. My husband and I recently moved into our dream home and Julie helped us through every single part of the process including pointing us in the right direction to find land and get the home placed on it. Any question we had along the way she went above and beyond to answer. Buying a house and land at the same time comes with a lot of moving parts and Julie truly made the process feel as smooth and stress free as possible. Even on days where we were going back and forth with different companies needing more paperwork or dealing with unexpected things that come up she always had a great attitude and a smile on her face. Our home is perfect and we could not be happier. It is so beautiful and everything feels high end. We were able to get almost everything on our wish list while staying within our budget. We are so grateful for Julie and would recommend her to anyone looking to buy a home.

  Sherle Bryant was truly exceptional throughout our modular home journey. Her knowledge of modular homes was impressive, and she took the time to explain every detail with clarity and confidence. What truly set Sherle apart, though, was her remarkable ability to make us feel completely at home and comfortable from the very first conversation. Touring the Lulabelle home and the Tyra modular homes with her was an incredible experience—she highlighted features we might have otherwise overlooked and helped us clearly envision how each layout could fit our lifestyle. By the time it came to finalizing and mailing our home selection, we felt confident, informed, and genuinely excited. Sherle’s professionalism, warmth, and expertise made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. She is truly outstanding at what she does.

  We bought a double wide way over 100k, we have roof issues they will not repair. Let alone the inside that needs repair. We had side door issues they did bring a door (wrong hand) took out the door before he noticed it was wrong. Messed up the sheet rock on the inside. Has not been back with the correct door or repaired the sheet rock. Do not use this company in my opinion!! This Clayton Homes is in Addison Al We bought our home from Warrior Mobile Homes in Moundville Al.

  Eric and Tim were wonderful to work with. They took care of all my needs and did a great job with the entire process from start to finish. Thanks guys for great service and a great home!
