Working with progress over the last four years has been hands down the worst experience I've ever had in regard to my experience with a company. Many times we've had emergency maintenance issues where we were lied to, hung up on, or dismissed. Communication between company and renter could not be worse. Between sneaking in charges and blatant disrespect between your employees and myself and roommates, I would never rent with Progress Residential again. Even if the price was significantly lower I would choose a different company. Posted one in the Atlanta Progress reviews, but one wasn’t enough to convey how terrible of a company this is.

My water was shut off yesterday.... rent is paid... the water is included with the rent but they didn't pay the water bill...
I called progress when I got home from work and noticed the water was disconnected... I was told I needed to call the water company which closed in an hour...
how the hell am I suppose to call the water company and the water isnt in my name.. they asked me for an account number that I didnt have and the water company really didnt want to give me any information. all they told me is that its disconnected for non-payment i called progress back they told me to call conservice by this time its 30 mins before the water company closes and im asking them can who ever please pay the water company i just got off work i need to cook clean and shower i have 3 children and i couldn't cook dinner we couldn't take showers couldnt even wash my face this morning and I had to ask a neighbor if we could fill up a couple jugs of water just so we could flush.... I was EXTREMELY EMBARRASSED! no apologies no nothing and I dont appreciate this
worst experience with no compensation no one even called me back or sent any email I perfer for my utilities to be in my name for reasons like this with what we pay a month in rent I should never have to go a night without being able to wash my tushie let alone flush properly!
And this isnt on us this was progress this was their mistake and WE HAD TO PAY THE CONSEQUENCES FOR IT!
UPDATE: Was contacted by Mrs. Jocelyn and she was helpful and turned this entire experience around! Very well thought out apology and she checked on me and the kids that meant more than anything I really appreciate the concern thank you

Don't be fooled by the high reviews of this company, which I bet are manipulated. Progress Residential owns 97,000 rental properties across the US but they hardly have any reviews. Research for yourself on BBB and look at the number of complaints they receive.
Avoid renting from these corporate landlords at all costs. Some of these guys reputation has gotten so bad they've even changed their names. They are in the business to make money and they will take it from you in any way they can. From application fees to excessively high move in fees to yearly rent hikes to taking your deposit, they are money hungry---they are the ones who came up with the idea to charge your pets rent.
They buy cheap homes and rent them out at luxury home prices. The house we rented hadn't been updated in 30 yrs at least. We never got to see it in person cause we moved in out of state. Upon move in it wasn't clean and we discovered dead roaches and feces in the cabinets and even inside the refrigerator fan. We had no heat for almost 3 weeks cause their maintenance team couldn't fix it, there were holes in the walls, toilet leak, and a kitchen cabinet door that came apart just by opening. They attempted to charge us for these things on move out until I argued which they then gave us a partial credit for. However, they decided they were going to take something from us since that's just how they operate. The photos uploaded are the the inspection photos they sent us justifying $250 wall/paint repair. Do you see anything? Those walls won't be painted if they don't even pay to have them cleaned for new tenants. It's going straight in their pockets.
