Solid place to live for the price but don’t expect any sort of customer service or anything other than money to be a priority for management. They won’t miss a second when notifying you they need something from you, but the second you need something from them, expect to wait a minimum of 3-4 business days. There also appears to be a somewhat major mold issue in a number of units. I, as well as people I know that also live here, have had the exact same problems of black mold growing in various areas of the apartment. It’d be a bit unbelievable, to think that as many times as I’ve heard it mentioned by friends or in some other reviews, that the management company isn’t aware of the severity of the issue. They generally just fix things per request and don’t address the apparent issues across buildings. I have lived here for 2 years and have not had a fully functional, efficient dryer until a month ago. Also the new management company that took over within the last 6-8 months decided to replace the perfectly good WiFi system, weeks before exams. Originally we were told the new system would be in place in roughly 2 weeks time. Luckily that time frame got sped up a bit and they did put in a WiFi system… that only works maybe a 3rd of the time. No word from management on any sort of compensation or discount after almost a month now of not being able to use the internet on a regular basis. Seeing as internet is included in our leases, I would’ve hoped for at least an apology. The office WiFi that is for staff only has miraculously stayed up the entire time, but not our resident WiFi. With all of that being said, the new company is definitely an upgrade from the old one as the workers actually appear to work and try to fix things. Definitely not the worst place but if you can get something better I’d advise doing so.

My daughter (who posted a while back) has been struggling with a mold issue ever since she moved in back in August 2024. She first reported it to maintenance on September 13, 2024, and has continued to report it multiple times since then—but here we are, and the problem still hasn’t truly been resolved. (Also, the reason why you see high ratings is that if you attend one of their "events," you have to post a review.)
What concerns me most is that instead of taking something as serious as mold and the health risks that come with it seriously, management seems more focused on keeping things looking nice on the surface. My daughter has mold allergies, so this isn’t just an inconvenience; it’s a real health issue. At one point, they “fixed” the problem while she was at work, but when she came home, there was black residue spread across her walls. That’s not a solution.
And I feel the need to say this clearly: the pictures and model units they show are not an accurate reflection of what you’ll actually be living in. As a parent, it’s honestly upsetting to see how much is being covered up instead of properly handled.
We’ve also noticed a pattern of quick, cosmetic fixes instead of real repairs. For example, when they worked on the balconies, they simply sprayed paint over areas that were already peeling—no prep work, no sanding, nothing to actually fix the issue. It’s just putting a bandage over something that needs real attention.
On top of all that, the new “improved” Wi-Fi has been another headache. We even bought her a good printer, and now her computer can’t reliably connect to it because the internet is so inconsistent.
At this point, I’m just relieved to say that she and her roommates have found a better place to live.

This is my first year living at The Mill and I can’t say enough good things about this place I call home!! Super close to campus, great environment, perfect location to go on long walks and still feel safe, and of course staffed with the kindest people. The maintenance and office staff are incredibly fast, supportive and friendly. Every maintenance personnel who has helped fix issues in our apartment are kind, fast, and extremely helpful. Especially Drew, always going above and beyond to help!! My roommates and I are excited to live here yet another year and hopefully more to come!

Our daughter has been at The Mill since Aug 2025. Since new ownership has taken over this year, there have been lots of maintenance improvements and upgrades around the complex. She has already signed on for another year at The Mill. ❤️
We had a great experience at The Mill! So great that we signed a lease same day! Abbie was so helpful and knowledgeable. This complex offers so many activities for students and is clean and well maintained. We feel great about our son living here his freshman year. We visited other complexes but none compare to The Mill!
