I lived here for 3 years before Renew bought the place. Location wasn't great but it was decent for the price.
Renew stopped doing maintenance, was horrible with communication, and promptly raised the rent.
Floor tiling started coming up, I reported it several times, never saw maintenance.
I moved out a year later. They were helpful when discussing the deposit (we'll just take a little bit out to have a standard cleaning) so I offered to rent a rug cleaning machine to make it easier on them. They said sure.
I got billed for the day I took to deep clean the place and then they promptly ghosted me and wouldn't respond to communication for months before I gave up, keeping the whole deposit, despite me being due around $800 (deposit was around $950 when I moved in).
It's been nearly two years now and I'm very happy at my current place.
Autumn, if she still works there, is passive aggressive and not someone I would hire to manage a sunglasses kiosk at the mall, much less someplace people live. This is a scummy company.
I hear that rent has raised again and you have to pay an application fee now, and communication is as bad as ever. What a joke. IIf it's not the middle of winter, it's better to be living in your car. This is not an exaggeration.
Brush up on the Alaska Landlord and Tenant Act and have a lawyer on call if you do decide to do business with this scummy company. Don't trust them with your family and your belongings. The people responding to these reviews aren't the people managing the property, I suspect they're a separate company paid to be polite and public facing, because the folks managing this place don't read reviews, their entire jobs consist of depositing your rent and taking a cut

0 communication from staff, have been told I will be contacted in the next few days twice, it has been 2 weeks since then. Have not answered my calls for a week no matter what time I call which is highly frustrating due to my work schedule.

As I'm sure you can see in the other comments, the property management has TERRIBLE communication skills. They rarely answer the phone, and when they do, they don't have any answers. They say they'll look into it and call me back, but they never do. They seem to be growing in size as they now have 3 properties in the Anchorage area. I think y'all should focus on handling what you have now instead of expanding. It's clear that you're overwhelmed and you're neglecting your current residents. I am anti Weidner, but honestly they are way easier to work with than Renew/Red Tail
Most recently I just wanted to renew my lease. You'd think they would be on top of just sending documents so they can keep money rolling in, but it took multiple unanswered phone calls, multiple unanswered emails, and I had to contact corporate to get anything done about it. My current lease ends in two weeks. I only have a two week notice to find out my rent is being raised nearly $200. This will be my last year staying here.
I gave three stars because I do like my unit. It was updated and clean when I moved in. The property is decent and the neighbors are generally quiet and friendly. The maintenance team are the only ones keeping this place going.
I also want to thank Andy F. He was the one who took care of me when I complained to corporate. He even called me way after hours to ensure I got my documents and kept the line of communication open.

The property management when I moved in in 2023 was great! Very responsive and got back to you in a timely manner. However, now I have been trying to get in contact with anyone from management for almost a month with no response. It is extremely disappointing as the matter was time sensitive and is now costing me more money than planned.

I have more success talking w/maintenance than the office. Maintenance did a great job keeping in contact and getting things done. Thank you J
