Apartment Rental AgencyApartment Building
Albany is one of Edmonton’s newer neighborhoods, established in 2009 as an extension to the Palisades area in northwest Edmonton.
The project is near Anthony Henday Drive, providing residents with convenient access to Edmonton and surrounding communities such as St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan and Spruce Grove.
When complete, it will feature three, six-storey buildings, each with a heated underground parkade. The project will offer a mix of one-, two-and three-bedroom suites, along with a resident clubhouse featuring a commercial-grade fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool and pet-friendly amenities that include a dog run and pet wash station.

Into the second year of living here and we adore the community. The social events and amenities keep us moving around and not staying isolated to our unit, even in the winter.
My spouse, dogs and I are enjoying our quiet life and we were lucky to have my sister and her kids join the property this past year. It’s got the occasional hiccups but I can see the constant efforts to improve.

This building is entirely wood construction, and noise travels unbelievably well. You can hear everything—people walking, moving furniture, and even using the bathroom. I understand that apartment living comes with some noise, and we were always very considerate of the tenants below us. Unfortunately, the same courtesy was not returned.
The tenants above us were consistently loud between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.—stomping, dragging furniture, scraping chairs, and repeatedly dropping heavy objects directly above our bedroom. We gave them time to settle in, assuming this was temporary. It wasn’t.
Over the course of nine months, we sent 23 emails to management reporting the disturbance. Nothing was done. No resolution, no enforcement of quiet hours, no meaningful response. It felt as though the issue was simply ignored.
Due to the ongoing lack of sleep and constant disruption, we were forced to look for another home and ultimately had to break our lease early due to circumstances beyond our control. Management attempted to charge us $3,500 for this.
To make matters worse, during our final walkthrough, we were charged for minor stove marks and wall scuffs, despite the unit being thoroughly cleaned. Under Canadian tenancy laws, tenants cannot be charged for normal wear and tear.
I am beyond relieved to no longer be part of this community. I will never have anything positive to say about this property or management based on our experience.
