Calgary Village is a 45-acre all-age manufactured home community with beautifully treed homesites located near tranquil Elliston Lake. This friendly "village" is conveniently located to schools, public transportation, shopping and downtown restaurants and entertainment. Calgary Village is the perfect place to live.
We have lived in this community for about 10 years now, we actually really love the home that we purchased and enjoy our neighbors and the quiet area. We are always on time with our lot rent and really try to take care of and maintain the area where we rent.
Through the years we have seen the management change over continuously. I am aware of the bad reviews, however I knew that in purchasing my home here that the reality is that due to the mobile home legislation, corporations that own the parks will always try to maximize profits out the parks as the opportunity is there, whether or not it’s honourable doesn’t matter as corporations only care about doing business. That being said this community has worked out okay for us, we have not been priced out yet.
The disappointing part is lack of customer service and professionalism, human interaction is paramount, no one wants to feel uncomfortable where they live.
Today something happened that has never happened in my years of living here. Two ladies (wearing Calgary village jackets) came and knocked on my door, when I opened it, one of them stated pointing her finger at me, “Are you (my name)?”, which I did confirm it was me, she then proceeded to remark that “a neighbor had told her that I had sold my home”. Neither of them introduced themselves or provided their name. This was the strangest encounter I’ve ever had living here. It made me feel uncomfortable, and I’m not entirely sure what their intentions were , they could have easily noted that our lot rent is still being paid on time and by us. I can’t think of anything that we may have done wrong.
It is a shame that the overall culture of mobile home parks, leads to the tenants having less rights to being treated without professionalism, because its free, it doesn’t cost anything to show respect in simple human interaction, and it makes all the difference.

Internet allways goes out because its run by the park & they dont care. The water pipes the supply everyones park breaks every year seems like they're allways shutting the water off, they dont plow or gravel the roads & they want to raise the rent every year, even if you own your own home you pay as much as someone who rents a full house its honestly ridiculous & I hate this place.
