We are a state licensed and inspected kennel / breeder, located in beautiful rural NorthWest Wisconsin, just about an hour East of Minneapolis / St. Paul Minnesota. Our German Shepherd puppies are great with families and children. They are intelligent with great temperaments, they are self confident, beautiful, and they come with a written health guarantee. We OFA test all of our dogs hips before breeding and we only breed dogs with OFA certified and/or German “a” stamp certified hips.

We contacted them on a referral from a friend when we were looking to add a new K9 family member. We were thrilled when we visited their kennel in Western Wisconsin with their amazing animals and great hospitality. Their facility allows their dogs to be both indoors and outdoors all seasons encouraging healthy, happy animals! We have two dogs from Select K9 and couldn’t be happier with our choice to work with them. Our dogs are amazing, have great temperaments and are a huge part of our family. We are veteran GSD owners, working with different breeders throughout the years. Mike and Jennifer are by far some of the best. They care about their animals, their mindful, responsible breeding and the families they place their animals with. We would highly recommend Select K9 for your next K9 companion.

She has the best temperament and is such a smart girl. Mike and Jen were lovely to work with. Their facilities are top notch and they proudly give tours and allowed us access to the litter prior to bringing our girl home. We had a 6 and 8 year old at the time and they wanted to see their soon to be pet as a baby (younger than 8 weeks). When it comes time to get another Shepherd, we will definitely go through Mike and Jen at Select K9's again.
- PCPeter ComstockAug 27, 20201.0Sadly I purchased 2 puppies from Mike at Select k9s. Sadly, both of which have significant health problems. Our 1st puppy "Jayce" was to be a show prospect. He had a Undescended testical which is a congenital defect making him in eligible to show in AKC We had to have the testicle surgically removed from his abdomen to prevent cancer. Our 2nd boy Harley was a pet quality long haired puppy that has terrible allergies and the University of Minnesota has x-rayed his elbows and they are marginal at best due to a limp that he has had. His food is very expensive and he is constantly on antibiotics and Apaquill to control his allergies. Thousands and thousands of dollars in vet bills! Super heartbreaking! Never would I buy from this so called top breeder again. I love my dogs and they get the very best from my family, because they are my family. so I won't give up on them but be very careful before you purchase from here.
