Unfortunately they cut the quick on my dogs right front paw. She is highly favoring it.

We had an appointment for a Saturday grooming because my wife and I both work and cannot get there during the week. We have to drive 30 minutes one way to get to Petco. During our booking the only question we were asked was, "Is there anything we need to know about your dog?" We answered he has bone spurs in his back, and he bleeds when his toenails are sometimes clipped. We thought this would help the groomer. Then about 3 hours before the appointment, we received a text asking if our dog was on any medication for his bone spurs. My wife answered yes. About 2 hours before our appointment, Petco asked which medication but gave no explanation on why they needed that information or that it could affect if they would do the grooming. We felt our dog was just getting a simple haircut and the medication did not matter. However, when we arrived and told Petco the medication our dog was on, they said the dog would have to be off that medication for 24 hours in order to get groomed. We feel there should be more disclosures of this on sign up (medication may affect if we can do the grooming). Or texting that with your question on if we were going to attend our appointment. If Petco does not allow dogs to be on certain medications for 24 hours prior to grooming, then we should have been contacted by your grooming department more than 24 hours in advance to make sure we understood this policy. We would have done that and not had issues at our appointment. But texting us 3 hours before our appointment and asking what medication our dog is on is poor customer service when you know it might affect the grooming. We are extremely disappointed that we drove over 1 hour and did not get the dog grooming we signed up for. We feel this could have easily been avoided with proper screening during our online registration or contacting us more than 24 hours before our appointment. We were hoping to use Petco for this service in the future, but we found the lack of empathy by their employee and a poor business plan that you do not ask that question more in advance; to show we were not important customers to Petco. We hope Petco will make some simple changes to their process to avoid this situation in the future.

Horrible cut! Took all the hair off Murphy’s tail when told to trim because his tail was beautiful! He has nothing…looks like a rope. It wasn’t matted because I combed it that morning. She blew it !

My dog is a very anxious dog. And they do such a great job at Brad Cole. I’ve gone other places and they have not been able to do as well as Petco has very pleased with them.

I am not going to bash Petco in Plover because they do provide decent grooming services, aside from the snotty attitude from one of the groomers, however I was not whatsoever impressed with the lack of transparency with their prices. Their advertised price was $25.00 and they charged me $61.00 because they considered my dog medium haired. This priced should have been stated upfront and okayed prior to taking him back. We had a scheduled appointment time and they left him, wet, and probably scared, in a kennel for over an hour, while they groomed 3 walk ins. A scheduled appointment should take priority. I know other people like Petco's grooming services, but we won't be back.
