- SBsusan burkeDec 4, 20252.0the vets were good treating my dog but when my dog had to be put down , they weighed him , gave him the sedation injection , waited a but came in to shave his hind leg to stop his heart , came in a bit later said he was fine but he woke up so they did more sedation & waited did the other hind leg to stop his heart they left n returned ..said his heart stopped so the vet scooped him up he woke up again so the last injection went in his front leg at that point my dog raised his head up n cried out n barked . my heart is broken to have seen my mini dachshund suffer three times before his life ended. to do that was shear torture on such a sweet little dog... his end of life should have been one shot to calm one shot to end his suffering n to give him some much deserved peace. I've been heart sick ever since then knowing my tiny 11 lb. dog suffered an ending this way. the clinic should have reduced the price of putting him down seeing as how the whole process caused him immense pain. I'll never take another pet out there afterwards. December 10,2025 I'm putting together a newer post to follow my previous post about the heart breaking experience I went through @Badger Vet Clinic...I wanted to make myself 100% clear on this ordeal... the vet who did this inhumane procedure to my mini dachshund was Dr. Katie Reed , this in no way reflects on the other Vets , Vet Techs or any other clinic staff this horrific experience was from one vet and only one vet...other staff members were awesome and took time to enlighten me and took time to listen to me. One experience with only one Vet shouldn't reflect on anyone else that works there. I apologize if my prior post reflected on the rest of the staff there. Luke's mom ...Susan Burke
