  Please don't take your pet there if they have a medical issue. I took my cat there a few months ago because he had lost weight, and was drinking and peeing more. They did bloodwork on him and said that he had diabetes due to a high glucose number. Started him on Bexicat which after a month was stopped because it wasn't helping him. The vet then put him on insulin. The vet prescribed insulin, libre 3 monitors, and I had to get him a thundershirt. At the time the meds were prescribed the vet tech texted me and said to order .5ml syringes from Amazon for the insulin which I did. I made an appointment to bring the meds in and my cat so they could show me how to give the insulin and to put the monitor on him. When I got there I saw a different vet who said I didn't need the monitors now and we might use them later...so that was a waste of money, along with the thundershirt.. I showed the vet the syringes that I had purchased and asked him how much do I give him...which he said .5cc...which I assumed was the amount of the syringe. I reiterated it several times and got the same answer. After 3 days of giving my cat the insulin, I woke up in the morning to find him half under my bed unresponsive. I rubbed some honey on his mouth and rushed him to the emergency vet where they said he was having an insulin overdose. The vet there said I should have been prescribed specific insulin syringes that were the correct dosage. I ended up having to euthanize him because he was having seizures, even after they had regulated his glucose levels. They need to do a better job with communication between themselves and with the customers. I was told two different things by 2 vets.My cat is now gone because of this.

  I really liked Dr.Susan DeFilippi, she always did very well throughout wellness exams. I was dissatisfied when I saw Dr.Andrew and his assistant. The price was fine for a wellness exam but I wish it was as throughout as it was with Dr.Susan. In the discharge summary they added “recommended higher quality foods such as Hilss Science Diet, Purina pro plan, or royal canin”, I told them I fed my cat purina pro plan and Nulo. Brands recommended by vets, they just weren’t listening. Also I was there for a check up of his lungs but there was nothing about that in the summary. What a shame, I won’t be back. :/
