- SKSharon KochDec 21, 20251.0I have been in several Petco’s and most of them were very clean with the staff being sweet and knowledgeable. When we walked into the one in Menomonee Falls the reptile area was dirty. Some of the reptiles that require UV Light and daytime light in their enclosure were dark. With seeing how dirty the enclosures were made me question the health of these reptiles. I bought reptiles from the other Petco’s, but was so disappointed in this one. My daughter asked I “think “ that might of have been the manager if we could see the chameleon as it was so dark in its enclosure. We got this run around that Chameleons don’t like to be held. My daughter argued we have two and they are always crawling on us or sitting on our head or shoulder. Yes, Chameleons are normally ones that don’t like up be held. I agree with that, but I believe if you work enough with them they get use to it and what really irritated me as you should have been able to see that chameleon with the light on his enclosure but instead it was dark. Chameleons require daytime light and UV light. So what are you going to cause another Chameleon to have calcium deficiency.
