Went to look at puppies with no intention of buying that day but after the family saw a little Shipoo male we left with him a couple hours later. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions. Very happy with our new family member Teddy and everyone at Puppy World.

Had a wonderful experience at family owned Puppyworld today. My father is bringing home a new friend. Very helpful staff. Super clean. Well stocked inventory. Recommend
Your puppy will typically receive vaccinations at 6, 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. At Puppyworld, all our puppies are current with age-appropriate vaccinations when purchased. As the new owner, it's your responsibility to continue veterinary care and maintain future vaccinations. Our puppies also receive deworming treatments every 2 weeks while in our kennel environment, similar to a daycare setting. This deworming may continue up to 4 months of age since puppies can contract worms from their mother's milk. After purchase, it's the new owner's responsibility to follow any deworming recommendations from their veterinarian.
What should be my first step after I purchase my puppy?
To activate our warranty at Puppyworld, we require you to take your new puppy for a veterinary examination within 7 days of purchase. We provide a coupon for a free exam at our partner veterinarians. This initial check-up not only validates your warranty but also gives your puppy a thorough physical examination and helps establish a relationship with a veterinarian if you don't already have one. During this visit, the vet will inform you about the schedule for any remaining vaccinations and/or deworming treatments your puppy may need.
What do I need when I first get a puppy?
For first-time dog owners, essential items include food, dishes for food and water, training treats, chew toys, plenty of regular toys, and a wire training kennel. Training treats serve as positive reinforcement when your puppy follows commands during potty training or basic obedience like sit and stay. Chew toys such as bully sticks and rawhide alternatives keep your puppy entertained and discourage them from chewing inappropriate items. A training kennel provides a safe space for your puppy when you're away or sleeping, preventing mischief and supporting potty training by teaching them to wait until you're available.
What do your puppies all include?
Every puppy from Puppyworld comes with up-to-date age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming treatments. They're covered by our warranty on life and hips (details available on our website), have been examined by a veterinarian before arrival, and are microchipped for your peace of mind.
What is a microchip?
Our puppies at Puppyworld are microchipped through Home Again microchip services. It's important to note that a microchip isn't a tracking device, so you won't be able to locate your dog if they wander off. Once you register your puppy with your personal information, this data is programmed into the already-implanted microchip. If your dog ever becomes lost, runs away, or is stolen and ends up at a veterinary office or animal shelter, they can scan the chip and contact you to reunite you with your pet.
Are our puppies spayed or neutered?
Our puppies range from 2 to 4 months of age, which is too young for spaying or neutering procedures. The responsibility for these procedures falls to the new owner should they choose to have their puppy altered as they mature.
How do I choose puppy food?
Each puppy from Puppyworld goes home with a bag of Health Extension food. This holistic hard dog food is formulated for all life stages. Health Extension offers various flavors, package sizes, and grain-free options to suit the needs of all dogs.
What treats and toys are good for puppies?
For young puppies, rawhide alternatives are excellent choices. Traditional rawhide can be difficult to digest and may upset a puppy's stomach. We recommend all-natural, long-lasting treats that will keep your puppy engaged. At our store, we carry several brands with a variety of treat options, including Red Barn, Vital Essentials, and Bark Harvest.
How do I get my new puppy used to grooming?
For puppies that will require regular grooming, early habituation to handling is essential. At home, establish a routine of frequent brushing, gently touching their face and paws, and holding their feet to prepare them for nail trims. Regular professional haircuts or trims are important to prevent painful matting, which can cause discomfort and lead to behavioral issues during grooming sessions.
