  It has taken me over a month to write this so this isn’t emotion speaking its truth. Last week I received a card in the mail from Depere Animal Hospital after the death of my beautiful 10 year old Pitbull, Sweety. It would have been a nice gesture, if I didn’t feel as though this clinic completely failed my dog. When your dog is sick, and tells you that she is sick, has symptoms of being sick you want to immediately get her to a vet. Which I did on several occasions. I even made emergency same day visits for her because with how she was acting it was obvious something was wrong. And was this way for a long time. Yet doctors at Depere hospital told me nothing. Gave me no advice. Nothing to work with. On each occasion I was the one who had to request for her care. Finally in October when I made her last emergency appointment because she wasn’t eating, she didn’t want to go for walks and had rashes. They told me it was allergies again, for the fourth time. I even followed up with the nurse to let her know she was not getting better not eating and she told me to bring her in for her routine physical that week and to give her meds for her rash that would further upset her stomach. Even though she was just seen a week ago for the same issue they required another appointment. Nothing was ever done and I was tired of spending money on nothing. I knew by this point they did not care to find sweeties real issues and I was forced to find another vet. Unfortunately while waiting to be seen as a new patient Sweety died. I can’t help but feel as though her life was cut short. the guilt that comes with that is a terrible burden. Because of this I can not recommend Depere Animal Hospital for health care to any animal. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

  I was surprised when I came in and the tech advised that one of the vaccines for both of my dogs were probably not a necessity, which saved me an extra office visit and 2 vaccine charges. Usually a clinic will try to push for things rather than not. Dr. Jen and the tech were and are always great in gaining the trust of my animals and making sure they are comfortable after a vacation. Thank you for your support.

  The vets here are incredibly caring and helpful with our fur baby. we’ve had great experiences with the medical staff both visits. Unfortunately, our second visit was made uncomfortable by a rude interaction at the front desk (Allison) regarding being a walk-in. We were never told this was an issue during our first visit, otherwise we would have scheduled ahead. Thankfully, the rest of the staff made up for it. Would still recommend because of the vets.

  The staff is wonderful with my pup. They are comforting and patient with him and put him at ease.
