- CBCaleb BookerDec 25, 20255.0I used to work at a vet and because of that I generally avoid corporate vets and prefer to go to smaller locally owned vets, but when I came home from work to my kitten limping and no appointments available at my home vet for a week or two, I decided to book with Vetco since they had next day appointments since I didn’t feel a limp was worthy of taking up time at an ER. The booking process online was quick and easy, as was check in. The receptionist seemed super knowledgeable and I appreciated that she got a good amount of history before I even entered the room. The assistant led me into the room and was genuine in listening to my concerns, and I had my baby brought back within a few minutes for X-rays. When the vet came up she was approachable, and compassion but straightforward when it came to describing the results of her exam. Luckily it ended up not being a break and likely just a soft tissue sprain or bruise, so she sent us on our way with some anti-inflammatories and a recommendation for rest. I felt comfortable in asking additional questions, and while the visit felt appropriately clean and clinical, at no point did it feel non-personal. I’m really kicking myself for not remembering the name of the staff members who helped us, but everyone was warm and welcoming and it seems like an efficient and well-oiled team! An added plus - I had a free first exam coupon that I was expecting not to be applicable due to its being an “injury exam” and not a “wellness exam,” but they accepted it without question and it brought the bill down significantly. Rorschach and I thank you for your care, and he’s been doing great since!
