That said, I’ve noticed an ongoing issue with a specific brand of kibble I regularly purchase for my dogs: it is frequently past its “Best if Used By” date while still stocked on the shelf. For example, today the bag available was dated 09/06/2025. According to the manufacturer, Natural Balance advises against feeding their food past the “Best if Used By” date, as that is when they guarantee peak freshness and nutritional value. After this date, vitamins and minerals can degrade, and fats in dry food may become rancid—both of which can lead to digestive upset or longer-term health concerns for pets. I’m sharing this feedback because I want to continue shopping here with confidence. I hope this helps bring attention to stock rotation so pet owners can rely on the freshness and safety of the food being sold.
