I do not recommend this practice if you have a job with non-traditional hours, want or need to schedule online, or an elderly cat with multiple health problems. When I have tried to resolve these issues, I have been met with passive aggression and just plain aggression. I have been told I’m not allowed to schedule appointments in a room to stay with my elderly “aggressive” cat. He is only aggressive here. Animals know stuff. I have been told I can’t schedule dental appointments online and that it says I can’t (it says nothing of the sort). I have been told I’m not allowed to drop off after 8 AM for dental appointments and regular appointments. Every time I schedule online, I get a call that they can’t actually honor that time and am forced to reschedule. This would all be irritating if I worked a job with normal hours, but I don’t, so it’s far past irritating. I am not able to bring my cats in at the whim of this practice and hold my job. Make your own choices, but all of this behavior has made it loud and clear to me that they do not care about you or your animals. Or perhaps they only treat their trans clients this way. Who knows. It’s a bummer my cat probably won’t be getting the teeth cleaning I already paid for with my plan. What a shady business practice. Heart of Chelsea is nearby and only costs a little more. They will treat both you and your pet with respect.

I've been a client at Banfield Pet Hospital in Ballard for quite some time, and they've supported me through various stages of pet care. They've been incredible in helping me manage my diabetic dog and also welcoming my new puppy. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough in their explanations. I really appreciate the transparency in pricing, which helps me plan financially for my pet's care. Plus, the Banfield app is super convenient for accessing records anytime. Overall, I highly recommend them!"

Came in for my cat and had a wonderful experience. Cal at front desk did a great job at explaining what to expect and give me options in scheduling. They took care of my cat at a very fast rate and I'm so thankful to cal and the staff here. Would definitely recommend this place and staff to anyone.

I am so appreciative of the team at the Banfield Ballard location. I have been to a few other locations and did not have the same experience, but the team in Ballard is truly phenomenal. Every vet tech I have worked with has been so kind and accommodating. Dr. Robinson has been extremely thorough in her care of one of my aging cats. I have felt listened to and recommendations never feel pushed or ludicrous. They are transparent in their pricing, have nearly always been able to fit me in or move my appointment. I am extremely grateful to the whole team there.

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
