I called early Saturday afternoon hoping to get an appointment soon for my chicken. I was able to be seen the same day. I’ve been here a few times with other chickens and am always happy to receive great and compassionate care from the entire team. I always feel like they really, truly care and want to help however they can and no matter what is needed.

Beyond disappointed with the evident downgrade in quality of what was once a good veterinary office. Almost a year ago our cat was getting blood drawn and his whole nail was somehow ripped out of his toe and left dangling. He was handed back to us bleeding. We were told they would take him back the next day, but only if he was medicated. We were given no information regarding care of his nail, any supplies, nothing. We were able to bring him in the next day, apparently appropriately medicated, but again they gave us no instruction or supplies to manage his ongoing wound care. We were willing to let this go and decided to go to another vet who answers their phones, are available for drop offs or in person appointments, and are very informative. Today, our same cat, went in for a standard tooth cleaning and extraction and we were informed that the current vet found metal in the site of a previously extracted tooth that was performed at Aurora Vet. Thankfully, the metal was extracted after searching because Aurora Vet Hospital marked the wrong tooth as extracted in our cat’s records. The metal is thought to be part of the drill tool that was used to extract the previous tooth. I don’t know what happened, but I cannot in good conscious leave anything but a terrible review for Aurora Veterinary Hospital. Everyone should take their beloved family members elsewhere. I have photos of the metal and the blood that stained our cat carrier, if it’s needed as proof of the terrible quality of Aurora Vet.

Dr. Bernstein is terrific: a great listener, kind and aware of costs. The only problem is that he isn't cloned so the wait is long to see him. I understand the new full time vet is also very good. He has seen my two little dogs and even my cat.

I've been taking my greyhounds to these doctors for over ten years. Great bedside manner with the pups. We've gone to Dr. Bernstein for a decade and love him, and Dr. Choi is also great. Very kind, friendly, patient office staff and vet techs!
