  Had a grooming appointment at 8:45am- the store opens at 9am. The manager was late and it’s 9:30am and it hasn’t opened yet!!!

  I’m so sorry to do this but one of your workers smells awful. He lacks basic hygiene and makes the experience so bad. I will travel to the issaquah petco just to avoid him because he makes the entire store stink and leaves me nauseous.

  I’d like to start off by saying I only shop at petco for the fish department and occasionally the dog department but if I could rate a single section, not the whole store, my rating would be a 1 star. This store used to be my go to for plants, fish, snails, equipment and everything you could need for aquariums but I’ve noticed a significant downfall in the stock of fish, quality of plants, and overall knowledge about aquatic anything. It’s upsetting to walk into this store are go to the aquatic plant section to find half of them dried up and dying. Most of the time you will find semi aquatic plants, fully submerged in water. This is one of the many reasons why it’s hard to get into the hobby of fish tanks. Way too much misinformation spread by employees and big chain corporations. The tanks are always dirty and most of the lights don’t work. Most of the fish always look lethargic, And the singular turtle they always have looks unhealthy. This particular time it looks lethargic and sick. I would also like to add it’s very nice there is a public restroom for customers. However, the state of the bathroom in my opinion was horrid. The toilet was nasty and unsanitary, there was paper everywhere and an unknown substance on the floor. Unfortunately I don’t see myself coming back to this location. Staffs knowledge of animal and care is questionable and I do not want to support a store/chain that does the bare minimum for an animals wellbeing.
