  Tate has been doing a phenomenal job upkeeping the aquatics department. Mortimer was a good kid who I’ve hated to see less of lately, but when you see Tate in action, it’s so apparent where he got his skills from. Two weeks ago I approached Tate as she was performing water changes, and I asked where Mortimer was, to which she very briefly and professionally explained that he discontinued his employment with Petco, but that she was his manager, something like the animal care operations manager, and was happy to help with whatever I needed. She has helped me a handful of times in the last year or so, but I was initially apprehensive since Morty had been my primary resource in the recent couple of months (I suppose worth mentioning I’d never even seen him in the store prior to October). Tate immediately dissuaded my skepticism by solving a chemical issue I was dealing with in my tank by testing my water sample and providing wonderful insight behind it, plus she was also able to order in a species of fish I had been wanting which I just got to add to my tank today. Tate’s department is just as clean and vibrant as it was when Morty was working beneath her, and I really appreciate seeing a member of management roll their sleeves up and take care of the dirty work like I’ve witnessed her doing this past few weeks.

  Awful experience in grooming. Brought my dog who has been on Prozac forever & has been getting groomed here anyways. & this one time was rejected because she is on prozac. They have told me to not give it to her next time & if anyone knows anything about Prozac it’s not a drug you can just not give for a day. That can cause seizures & other health concerns. But the reason they told me she can’t be on Prozac was because “it makes them drowsy & is like a sedative” which I instantly knew was incorrect. & turns out it is a huge misconception. Prozac does not make them drowsy & is not a sedative so truly they have no idea what they are talking about. Also so incredibly expensive for most of the time the nails aren't even clipped at all which is the main reason I go. I will be going elsewhere. Much better local groomers in the area.
