This location prioritizes charging customers over caring for pets or identifying the real root cause. We have been Banfield wellness plan members for my dog for the past 5 years, but our recent visits to the Coal Creek location completely broke our trust. We brought our dog in because he was vomiting with traces of blood. Before anyone even looked at him, the staff immediately started pushing a long list of expensive tests—pancreatitis screening, bloodwork, X-rays, and injections—without any initial examination. I had to ask that the veterinarian examine my dog before making any decisions. When the veterinarian came in, the same list of tests was repeated without any examination of our dog. I explained that my dog had undergone full bloodwork and pancreatitis testing just two months ago, and all results were normal. The only response was, “things can change every day,” with no medical observations or explanation. We eventually agreed to start with bloodwork first and decide on further testing based on the results. What shocked me most was that medication was prescribed before the bloodwork even began. When we questioned why tests were needed if the medication was required regardless, we were told the medication would be given no matter what and that the bloodwork was only to see if anything was worse. That made no sense—if my dog’s condition were worse, the treatment should change. Instead, it felt like the focus was on charging for both tests and medication without trying to understand the root cause. In the end, all tests came back normal, and we still left with no explanation for why our dog was vomiting blood—only a bill.

We had a weird scenario, and they went above and beyond helping us through things other pet hospitals would usually not help with.

My dog had a nasty soft tissue injury. I was able to drop her off and they fixed her up same day. They took real good care to take into account her co-morbidities prior to sedation. After surgery, she was like a brand new dog! My dog acted like nothing happened and wasn’t in pain at all!! Over all great experience from the support staff and Vet that took care of my dog! Would trust them with my dog’s care in the future.

My appointment was a drop off and I don't think I was even gone an hour and my pet was ready to be picked up. Staff was prompt and let me know how the visit was and made good recommendations. Loved my pet a lot. Staff was very courteous.

I went to get my Yorkies nail trimmed because the dew claws were jabbing into him. When he came out I felt it and asked if they can get the sharp edge from cutting the nails (the most inner part of the nail very sharp, the part that was hurting him) the receptionist said to me we’re not a dog grooming service. If you want to shave it down you need to go to a groomer and get it drummeled. And on top of that the nail trimmed was $56. Banfield treat your customers better! I’ll never go to a BANFIELD Animal Hospital ever! I give them the middle finger!
