They're kind, patient, and genuinely care about every dog, including ours, who's a large breed often misunderstood elsewhere. The space is smal but always clean and well-run. Corporate could definitely update the setup, but the team makes the most of it with their great attitude and skill. Highly recommend this grooming team -they're the best part of Petco!

I've traveled, continuously, across the entire country for the past several years... coast to coast, north to south, in my 42 foot Class A Diesel Pusher. I'm a loyal Petco customer and I've been to a dozen of their grooming salons. My first impression when I walked into the Mount Vernon salon was "ghetto". The place was in disarray at 9:30 AM and appeared filthy. Then, Jessi gave me a hard time because my GSD has Discoid Lupus. Every other salon in the country has been completely empathetic. She also claimed all the other Petco groomers across the country had charged me for a large dog, but I should have been charged for an XL dog. Also, trimming the hindquarters fur would be another additional charge. It got really creepy, quickly, and I was absolutely unwilling to leave my dog with them for ANYTHING. After leaving, I was immediately able to book another appointment at a nearby Petco.
