Dr. Ovi is incompetent. She has no idea what she is doing. Instead of looking at my dogs history with Banfield for 10+ years, she made me get xrays to diagnose a chronic back issue that's been known for years, and is unchanged, and was already diagnosed at banfield 2 years earlier. She missed pancreatitis in my dog and made her suffer for 4 weeks, while also getting those unnecessary xrays. Then delayed routine yearly dental cleaning for another chronic issue that has been unchanged for years. She outright refused to perform the dental cleaning. Now, she's delayed my dog's care for 5 months for repeat testing, ultrasounds, and echocardiograms with the promise of doing the dental cleaning, just to once again refuse to care for my dog because Dr. Ovi is not competent enough to clean teeth. Now suddenly Dr. Ovi informed me all the testing she demanded was not needed and was in-fact "elective". I could have gone elsewhere 5 months ago. She wasted everyone's time for 5 months, including her staff's time, to accomplish nothing.

The vets and vet technicians here are some of the most caring and compationate people I've had the pleasure to bring my cat to see. They listened to my concerns and were so helpful in determining the best course of care for my elderly cat. Even at the end of her life they were so kind to me and helped me through a lot of the tough decisions. Definitely a great place to take your pets!

I would not recommend Dr. Rickel or Banfield to anyone!!! My cat injured its leg and was not weight-bearing. We brought him to Banfield Bothell. They called and said the cat was grumpy and wanted to sedate him as they were afraid of him. I agreed, and the doctor called and said that they could not find anything wrong with him. Upon pick, I asked to talk to the doctor, but she was not available and handed the cat off to the receptionist, who could not explain. I asked the doctor to call me upon her return. The doctor did not provide any pain management. Throw the cat in the carrier where the cat defecated and urinated all over itself. The very minimum that could have cleaned the animal up. I asked the doctor to call me. They charged me $1100 for the horrible visit. The Doctor did not follow up. In fact, she isn't expected back into the clinic for the next 7 days.
