They won't let you cancel your subscription if your pet dies! You will keep getting a monthly charge to remind you of of your painful loss. Do they need to? No. Do they care? No. Straight up evil. After 9 great years I had to put my cat down earlier this month; she was the sweetest cat I'd ever owned. Obviously I was heartbroken. The staff at Banfield were wonderful throughout the death process. This 1 star review is for the corporate ownership who clearly only care about the bottom line and not a grieving pet owner. I had been on the Wellness + plan for years as my cat needed occasional dental work, which just renewed in November. When I contacted Banfield to cancel the policy after my cat died, they told me I needed to pay the remaining 9 months of the Wellness Plan, despite the fact that my cat is no longer alive to be seen and treated. I was flabbergasted - their reasoning was because I had used the plan benefits (procedure discounts, office visits) for 3 months, so I needed to pay the full plan amount. I obviously wouldn't have signed up for the full year if I knew my cat was going to die so soon. To top it off, my cat was too sick to receive any dental care so I never used the "Plus" part of my plan. I asked if they would at least lower the regular Wellness plan but apparently their "system doesn't allow that". I feel taken advantage of in a time of grief. When your pet dies, it feels evil to keep charging grieving owners for services they obviously won't be using. Now I'll get a painful reminder of my loss every month when I see the monthly Wellness charge hit my credit card. I understand this is a business and cancelling a plan would normally require paying the full year, but the death of a pet feels like this should be an obvious exception. I'm leaving my multi-year experience with Banfield with a very sour taste and I do not recommend anyone give their money to this company; it's clear they will do anything they can to suck more money from you before you go.

Banfield at both Lacey locations are fantastic! Great customer service & excellent care for our pets! Dr. Gerboth is top notch & goes above & beyond for both our pets & us! She cares so deeply for the pets & pets parents & it truly shows in the time she takes to listen & address our concerns! You won't be disappointed with their care! The front office staff, vet assistants & vet technicians are absolutely wondeful as well!

Never again will we come here, and this is why. My wife’s appointment for her dog was at 1100. All we needed from them was a health certificate and a wellness check. We thought the process would be smooth and easy going here but it was far from that. The lady at the front desk with a septum piercing had my wife waiting 30 minutes before her dog was seen. As this was happening there is people going in and out with their dogs like nothing. After that they had finally taken her dog for about 10 minutes then the vet returned and THEN made my wife wait 30 more minutes saying that the system was not working. So she left again. After 1 hour of waiting she sent another vet to tell my wife that she couldn’t get the system to work and then said to my wife that she could wait some more or she could get it emailed. A process that should have probably only taken like 30 minutes, took 2 hours!!! Why couldn’t we just get it emailed instead of wasting our time. I understand things happen but when my wife is patiently waiting and then gets attitude from staff for not doing their job correctly is insane. The lady at the front charged my wife for someone else’s dogs expenses while still giving her attitude and raising her voice. People in customer service need to get trained better here. I know not everyone’s experiences here are as bad as ours was but for the staff I feel like they need a little more care when it comes to serving the people as much as the pets. If I could give a zero I would.
