Experience good. Banfield make it very difficult for older citizens to own pets and give them the care they need because of how much they charge for thier service.

This is a long overdue review but I thought I would share so others would know. My Siberian husky baby Hiwakea was given so much love and care from the staff at Banfield Issaquah, especially Dr. Hymel and Kassie. Hiwakea was the healthiest 8 year old Siberian Husky as can be, before her diagnosis in May 2025, we were still running our morning 5Ks like nothing happened until she got diagnosed with an aggressive form of an autoimmune disease known as ITP. I had gone to just about every single veterinary clinic from Shoreline and even considered driving to Pullman to save Kea however cost was the biggest issue since we had no pet insurance. I was 15 when I got her as a Christmas gift and unable to pay for this, which I will always regret to this day. We went to the ER five times since they said Kea's condition was so bad to the point that she could die at any second. Throughout every single anxious episode I had, the Banfield Issaquah team was there to provide support for the most difficult time of my life and hers. Kea died in August 2025, even though all vets told us that she wouldn't make it past the first week of diagnosis in May. And i know a strong reason why Kea was able to live for as long as she did was because of the love, care, and compassion shared by the amazing team at Banfield Issaquah. All of them knew her little quirks, how she could be sassy and how strong she was. They did everything they possibly could. I can't thank the team enough for all that they've done for my baby girl and I just hope that people know how much this team truly cares for all babies that come into their care. Thank you, and sending all my love.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. I had an absolutely terrible experience here with my cat, and I want a full refund for the time and money I wasted. I visited on 2/23 and specifically told the vet, Gayatri Vijay Shrikhande (who I don't even want to call a doctor after this experience), that I had already cleaned my cat's ears. I expressed concern that an ear swab test might come back as a false negative because of this, but she insisted on doing the test anyway. I also explained that this was likely his allergies flaring up. Despite this, she prescribed a basic ear cleaner with absolutely no antibacterial or anti-inflammatory ingredients to actually treat the issue. To make matters worse, the written instructions said to clean his ears "every other day," but Gayatri verbally instructed me to clean them every day for a week. I followed her verbal instructions for 4 days, and my cat's ears only got worse. When I called to explain that the cleaner wasn't helping and asked for a prescription that had worked for him in the past, she actually YELLED at me over the phone for cleaning his ears every day—completely forgetting her own instructions! She lacked any empathy and just demanded I bring him back in. I took my cat to a different vet today. They cleaned his ears very thoroughly—something Gayatri didn't even bother to do—did a proper swab, and it immediately came back POSITIVE for bacteria. Gayatri Vijay Shrikhande does not listen to pet parents, lacks basic clinical knowledge, and takes zero accountability for her mistakes. Because of her incompetence, my cat suffered longer than he needed to. Highly problematic clinic. Avoid at all costs!
