- TTTravis “Trav” TravJan 2, 20261.0Well this is an unfortunate situation. The lady gave me a deal on a ball python because it had been there a while. (The lady was very nice).....So we decided to take the deal. Drove up from quincy. Then we saw the snake and questioned them about the snakes eyes and shedding problem they reasured us that it was the set up of petco and to get different bedding and everything will be fine. We literally bought everything they said we needed spared no cost just for the snake to continue to be sick no matter what we did. So we took it to vet and It has some sort of problem internal so my daughter's Xmas present is just going to die. Ive read and researched this and it seems to be a common thing unfortunately. But literally have no where else to get a snake? ..UPDATE SNAKE IS GETTING BETTER VET SAID LOOKS TO HAVE HAD SOME SORT OF INTERNAL PERASITES. TWO VET VISITS AND SOME MEDS BUT SHES DEFINITELY PULLING THROUGH.

We tried looking around for help and even tried some squeaking toys to get someone attention but no one ever came. Thought about just walking out with the cat food we needed, but didn’t. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Last time I bought something from them I tested the water in the bag and all the parameters were very low, salinity was 21ppt where it should be at or near 35ppt. The fish are always sick, the tanks covered in slime. It's literally a torture death chamber for the animals. It's a shame because they are the only place within hours of me with saltwater fish. I would spend tons of money if it was healthy but the shape their live stock is in it would literally be flushing money down the toilet. And Petco expects you to pay full price for fish on deaths doorstep while also having a "no return" policy.
