  I came into Petco intending to buy fish food and purchase about 50 fish for my new tank. When I arrived, one associate was helping another customer, so I patiently waited my turn by the fish department. After finishing with that customer, the associate began chatting with another group across the area instead of helping me. I stood there waiting for roughly 15 minutes while he continued having personal conversations about his honeymoon in Hawaii, his own fish, and unrelated stories. During this time, he repeatedly looked at me but never acknowledged or assisted me. Another employee walked by, so I asked if they could help catch fish. They told me they were helping another customer—even though no one else appeared to need assistance when I arrived. At that point, I looked back toward the original associate (Scott), who simply turned away and continued talking instead of helping. I came ready to make a significant purchase but left feeling ignored and unwelcome. Customer service and basic acknowledgment of waiting customers should be a priority, especially when someone is clearly ready to buy.

  Needed a flea collar for my son's cat. I've only been to this store once before and being g disabled and walking with canes, I didn't want to walk around the store all day looking. I went into the store and found what looked like an employee at the cash register. She was busy checking out a customer, so I waited. And I waited. And I waited. I looked around th store and saw two more employees in (maybe) a pet grooming area. And I waited. And then I waited some more. Finally, I decided that maybe Petco really spent want my money and I left. Went home and found the same collar I was looking for. $20 less AND they will deliver it to me this afternoon. Ended up buying 2 of them for $30 less each. And we wonder why brick and mortar stores are hurting.

  Thank you Lexie, for resolving the below issue quickly, professional and caring about my pet so much, it is so appreciated, Toby thanks you also!! We purchased two glass aquarians from this location, and both of them cracked across the bottom, causing all the water to leak out, jeopardizing the lives of our Turtles. I went into the store and was told by a veteran sales associate, that this is not suppose to happen, and if it did, the tanks were defective. No resoultion offered. We are afraid to pay $150.00 for another tank, since you are selling defective tanks. Our turtles lives are in jeopardy. I would urge people to not shop here and shop online.
