The Chuckanut Feline Center is the best place in town to take your cats to, you always know you and your kitty will be treated with care and respect by the three vets that work there. Dr. Groff has been exceptional with my little fur baby, quick to diagnose and easy to talk to. She walked me through everything she did and really helped me understand what the issue was. I have not had the best experience with some relief vets that the corporation has hired at times, which is what I think some of these overly and obnoxiously negative reviews some from. Dr. Groff, Dr. Noe, and Dr. Knopf are all wonderful, empathetic, and intelligent vets that I feel safe and comfortable treating mine or anyone's fur baby.

Amazing service. The entire staff made my cats and I feel so taken care of. I have never been to another feline center that has the same level of care and professionalism as ChuckANut Feline Center has. I would recommend them to anyone.

I started bringing my cats to CFC in 2022. I first had Dr Noe, who was professional & kind. I was given another doctor while she was away. I did not have a positive overall or acute experience with Dr. Galen Groff. My senior cat started to need more attention early in 2024. I kept bringing him to CFC, called, & emailed to get him help. From March onward, I watched my feline decline & had no answers. It wasn't until Oct. when, my already very sick cat, was diagnosed with lymphoma. Dr. Groff prescribed chemo for my fragile feline. I tried to trust her advice. I gave my cat two doses before he became more ill. I contacted Dr. Groff and told her over the phone that I chose to no longer give him the chemo meds. Dr. Groff officially declared my cat on hospice. That was the last communication I had from her about my cat. Dr. Groff never reached out to counsel about hospice care options, or medicine, such as prednisone (which I didn't know could have given him more comfort), or any other meds to alleviate pain. It was all after the fact that I realized how dismissive our experience was with Dr. Groff. My cat passed not long after that. If another doctor at CFC had been his care provider, my cat may have lived longer, and he absolutely would have had a more comfortable last few weeks with appropriate hospice care. Dr. Groff didn't reach out to me to offer any options or to check in. The distrust for Dr. Groff grew in Dec. when I was looking for solutions for my younger cat with allergies. I tried to order food that needed vet approval. The derma food was denied. I was told to get urinary food from CFC instead. My cat had stress related urinary issues a year+ prior. In several uncomfortable emails with a tech, I was told that a urinary food was the focus. My concerns were ignored. I relayed that my cat needed allergy support, not urinary food. Dr. Groff joined the email conversation to restate the urinary concern. However, in none of the emails where I was advised to buy my cat a highly processed dry urinary food, was I asked how my cat was doing. Neither the tech nor vet inquired about my cat's litter box habits or otherwise. Yet, all insisted she needed urinary food at the expense of my cat's actual skin issues & discomfort. Had I been listened to, they would have known that my cat's urinary issues were resolved & monitored daily. Dr. Groff also said that since I had concerns about the recommendations given that I should look for veterinary care elsewhere. That was very upsetting and felt unnecessarily unkind. I was searching for solutions for my cat, & instead was met with more obstacles. It seemed that advocating for my cat's actual needs was a problem for Dr. Groff. My cats and I did not deserve to be treated so poorly. I wrote back & asked Dr. Groff if we had just been told we were no longer welcome at CFC. I stated that what I saught was the best care for my cats & that I desire a working relationship with the veterinarians and staff, which includes listening to my concerns. Dr. Groff responded by requesting she and I only talk on the phone or in person. That seemed odd. My direct question about whether or not I had been asked to leave as a client was never answered, instead ignored. In January this year, I went in for my cat's appointment and Dr. Groff was no where to be seen. I had been reassigned to Dr. Emily Knopf, to which I am grateful for. Dr. Groff unfortunately missed a tumor at a September 2024 wellness visit for my other senior cat. It was detected in my cat's abdomen by another doctor, Dr. Noe or Dr. Knopf, back in January at a dental visit. I'm so grateful the tumor was found by a veterinarian who was able to talk to me kindly about my cat's situation. Although hurtful that Dr. Groff was unkind to us & lacked compassion to advise me with my senior cat when he was on hospice late last year, I'm grateful my cats are now getting the professional attention they deserve from Dr. Knopf, Dr. Noe, & other veterinarians.

This is a nice place to take your cat(s). Many of the staff members are exceptional and kind to work with. (Shout out to Stacey, a really sharp staff member!) I want to highlight the professionalism and care that Dr. Emily Knopf has provided to my cats since last Dec. Our original vet was Dr. Laura Noe back when I first started bringing my cats to the clinic in 2022. I was very pleased to work with her on behalf of my senior cat, Rajah. Dr. Noe listened well and responded kindly to my concerns. Rajah, along with my other cats, have had some challenging health issues the past few years, and we've all received compassionate care from Dr. Noe. When she had a leave of absence or similar, I was given a different veterinarian. (I will discuss that uncomfortable experience in a separate review. This review is meant to highlight positive interactions with CFC.) I do recommend CFC if your cat needs specialized care and/or have complicated health issues. I strongly suggest requesting to work with Dr. Noe or Dr. Knopf. I am a passionate and sensitive pet mom who appreciates when spoken to and communicated with the kindness I have received from Dr. Noe and Dr. Knopf. My cats are still complicated and I'm always navigating the best care for them. Dr. Knopf is an excellent veterinarian who checked in with me regularly regarding a rare tumor that was found in my senior female cat this year in January. She had a wellness visit late in September 2024 and the tumor went undetected by Dr. Galen Groff. Fortunately, one of the other veterinarians found it. Dr. Knopf walked me through all the options and possible procedures to help my senior cat. She answered many of my questions and listened to my concerns. Dr. Knopf even cited research she'd done to help me understand my cat's condition as well as her recommendations. I am grateful for her kindness, compassion, and ongoing communication for my cats and their well-being. It's been a positive experience with Dr. Noe and Dr. Knopf. Thank you!

I used to LOVE this vet when they were the Gene Poole Memorial Cat Clinic. However, please be warned that this clinic has been bought out by a corporate company who has been proven to use unethical practices. It happened to me and my vet at Maplewood Animal Hospital confirmed that their approach to care was "shocking". Choose not to be scammed out of your hard earned money with unnecessary tests and procedures. It is with great sadness that I feel I have to tell people this! This isn't how professionals should be treating people and their beloved felines! Go somewhere else. **Interesting response... after being told that my cat has "a rare form of cancer" and recommending that I have a $350 oncology consult as well as additional tests, I opted for a palliative approach for my senior cat. And after feeling guilt-tripped for my choice, I did call you to speak about my experience and I was told I'm not longer welcome at your clinic. It turns out that my cat has asthma! And the medicine is exactly the same as palliative care. Your clinic attempts to overcharge good people and causes unnecessary stress. SHAME ON YOU!!!
