  Overall this place is great! They were friendly and helpful. The groomer that groomed my dog, did and excellent job!!

  I’ve had positive interactions with some of the staff—they’re friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my experiences with the manager have been consistently disappointing. He often seems inconvenienced when asked for help and comes across as dismissive and rude in his tone. I hope this is something that can be improved because it impacts the overall atmosphere of the store.

  I visited Petco 4/6 to buy food for my dog. As I approached the checkout counters no one was available at the cash registers. Not a problem - this is typical and someone usually comes along quickly. On this particular day I waited for several minutes. An employee eventually came to one of the cash registers. It was not the one I was standing at. He did not say hello, he did not say I’ll take you over at this cash register. He simply stood there until I picked up my purchases and walked over to the register he was standing at. He STILL did not say a word to me. He rang me up. The only words he spoke to me this entire encounter was to rudely tell me what I owed. Using the checkout credit card machine I made my donation and paid for my purchase. He never thanked me. Never wished me a good day. His name is Jon. I’ve been a customer at this store for as long as they’ve been in business. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful. This person has no business being in retail much less being around people’s cherished pets.

  Big selection and food and treats. Decent prices for a commercial pet store. Always find what I am looking for and my pup enjoys sniffing around while we shop!

  Staff was pleasant. I wish they had more selection for canine wear. I bought my dog in from Hawaii and though she’s pretty rugged it would have been nice to get here a warm vest.
