- ACAnalise CrabtreeJan 1, 20261.0I stopped in today to pick up food for my cat and decided to look at the fish section since I’ve been considering adding to my tank. Unfortunately, what I saw was extremely upsetting. Nearly every tank contained dead fish, many of them stuck to the filters. Some were clearly decomposing, which shows they had been there for quite some time. Not only is this disturbing, but it’s also harmful to the live fish still in those tanks. I brought this to the attention of a worker who identified himself as the department manager. His response was that they receive so many fish that it’s hard to keep up. While I understand that losses can happen, there is no excuse for leaving dead, decaying animals in tanks. At the very least, the tanks should be regularly checked and cleaned. While I was speaking with him, another employee interrupted and said, “they’re just goldfish.” That comment was shocking. This is a pet store, and regardless of the species, these are living, breathing animals that deserve basic care and respect. That lack of concern was deeply disappointing. I truly hope management takes customer feedback seriously and addresses the conditions in which their animals are being kept. This experience was unacceptable and should not be happening in a store that sells live animals.

- JJJessieDec 23, 20255.0We’ve taken our Rottie, Daisy, to Chloe at Petco a couple of times now, and I just have to share how wonderful our experience has been. Chloe is honestly the sweetest groomer we’ve ever met. She treats Daisy like her own pup, and Daisy absolutely adores her. You can see it in how happy Daisy is when she comes home. Plus, Chloe is super patient with our big girl she’s about 100 pounds of Rottie love, and that can be a handful. But Chloe handles it all with so much care. Every time Daisy comes back, she looks great ears clean, nails trimmed, teeth brushed, you name it. We’re just really grateful we found someone like Chloe, and we’ll definitely keep coming back to her. Thanks so much, Chloe, for taking such great care of Daisy!
