  I was originally in the store trying to purchase a bird and wanted to know everything that I needed. I had a simple question for the cashier and was spoken to very disrespectfully by Alexis. (she did this because I was not in the proper area for the line. However, I was a new customer and unaware of where the line starts and did not notice the sign. Also, I was not making a purchase at the time only had a question) She then proceeded to talk about me to the customers in front of her. I initially left the store because of how I was treated and because she spoke about me to other customers while I was present. As a Black customer, I felt I was not treated with the same level of professionalism and respect that I observed being given to white customers. When I called to speak with a manager, she hung up on me. I returned to the store to address the issue, and instead of hearing my concerns, the assistant manager escorted me outside of the store rather than taking steps to resolve the situation. He stated that he did not want to discuss the situation in front of her, but instead of asking her to step away or moving the conversation elsewhere inside the store, I was taken outside as if I was being dismissed. I then returned inside the store to request that my information be taken down for the store manager. At that point, Alexis began yelling in my face in front of the assistant manager, and he allowed it to happen. He did not attempt to remove her from the situation or de escalate the interaction. I originally came in with the intention of making a purchase, but after the way I was treated, I decided not to move forward. I remained calm the entire time. I did not yell or use profanity. However, I will not spend my hard earned money at a place where I am treated with such disrespect. I hope this situation is addressed so no other customer is treated this way. Unfortunately, my daughter could not get the bird she planned to name “LuLu” because of this.

  There is a cashier by the name of Alexis, whom is very rude. I will not be purchasing at this location. No stars!
