    I am writing this review to document my experience at Banfield in Henrico, VA between June and August of 2025, and to warn other pet owners—particularly about enrolling in the Wellness Plan. My concerns involve both veterinary care and administrative handling. During one visit, my cat’s discharge paperwork listed an abnormality involving her dew claw, yet provided no explanation or details. Because this was the only abnormality noted, I called to clarify after my pet’s second visit. I was told by a veterinarian that she had not actually examined the dew claw on the second visit despite it being documented as an abnormal finding in the medical record. This raised serious concerns about the accuracy of the documentation and whether the reported issue had been evaluated at all. Communication throughout my time at this location was consistently poor. When I asked questions about booster timing, I was interrupted and spoken to in a condescending manner. Calls placed to clarify discharge notes were not returned. On 08/09, when I accidentally arrived a week early for an appointment, I waited at the front desk for an extended period without any acknowledgment. After discontinuing care, the situation became more concerning. I was incorrectly informed multiple times in writing that my pet had passed away. This was factually false and deeply upsetting, and it demonstrated a failure to properly review my account or prior correspondence. I am currently disputing a remaining Wellness Plan balance of $191.49. I do not believe I should be charged for services that were documented inaccurately or not meaningfully provided, and I have requested written confirmation that the account will not be referred to collections while under review. My intent is simple: • To resolve this matter fairly • To avoid being charged for care that was not properly delivered • And to caution other pet owners to carefully consider enrolling in a Banfield Wellness Plan, particularly if clear communication and accurate records are important to you Veterinary care relies on trust, accuracy, and transparency. Based on my experience, this location fell short in all three areas.

    My recent visit was awesome. The vet Dr Henderson and nurse was awesome. Love the personable, informative, patient and positive vibes with my cats Manson and Twiggy…No complaints here! Great job!

    My cat was cremated after she passed away last month and I just got her back today. I've never had any pets cremated until now and I completely understand why people do it. She is back home in her spot that she spent majority of her time. I'm impressed with the care they showed.

    Although I was just dropping off and picking up dogs to help a friend who's in the hospital, the staff were super nice and everything went very smoothly. If I could afford it, I would definitely consider taking my own 2 dogs there. I thought that the plans that were offered made it very convenient to make sure your pets are getting all the proper checkups and vaccinations, etc.
